Barack Obama's Kenyan grandmother has said she prayed for the US president to convert to Islam, according to reports.
Sarah Omar, 88, who was on hajj pilgrimage to Mecca, told the Al-Qatan Saudi daily: "I prayed for my grandson Barack to convert to Islam".
The paper said that Ms Omar was in Saudi Arabia on pilgrimage along with her son, Mr Obama's uncle Saeed Hussein Obama, and four of her grandchildren.
Ms Omar told the newspaper that she could only discuss hajj matters and would not comment on Mr Obama's politics.

Most atheists hate God and work hard to make everyone think that they don't believe in Him. The infamous atheist Madelyn Marie O'Hare was known to set up a nativity scene in front of the Christmas tree and then, in front of her children, stomp on it until all the figures were broken.
I have a feeling that Obama is self-deistic, atheist masquerading as a sometimes Christian, sometimes muslim. Our God and the muslim's Allah are just a couple of things he has to contend with occasionally.
It would be interesting to see the logistics on how the president or ex president visits the Ka'aba. Only Muslims can enter the area.
Islam was pretty similar when it wasn’t modern, too. More scimitar and less explosive.
The muslim world, the majority of the globe know hes one. Its just our media that wants to spin him into a American and a Christian and the stupid TV watchers are buying into it.
