What struck me most, other than the powerful expression of faith, was the sheer professionalism of the singing. These are trained voices, perfectly rehearsed. Impressive.

Great stuff, thanka.

A flash mob of Christians in a crowed public place who bring praise to their God with beautiful singing. Had it Muslims, they would have praised their god with Simtex.

I know anyone who was in my high school’s choir would definitely have stood and joined in the singing. For years many high school and college choirs have sung this annually and often would invite any of the choir alumni to join in and sing with them at their concerts. It was a long running tradition at many schools, not just mine. While I graduated from high school over 35 years ago I still remember the part I sang perfectly and sing it several times each holiday season just by joining in with others singing it. I always see others do this too.

I was surprised at how few shoppers were familiar with the old tradition of the audience standing during the Chorus.

This, obviously, was an organized and trained choir. What a spectacular way to get full ROI from your rehearsals!!

My first thought was “music school”. Then, when I saw the age range, “Church choir”. Then after the magnificent professionalism of the performance, “Mormons”...

"I had heard about this but hadn't seen it yet."

There are a few others, Google 'random acts of culture'.

It is part of a large effort, the one at Macy's in Philly was great.
