All Cantor will succeed in doing is ensuring that Obamacare becomes a bipartisan debacle, rather than just a Democrat debacle. Obama must have gotten to him.

I have not liked Cantor since the infamous Ingraham interview on BOR. Boehner is the only one at the WH today that I kind of trust.

Republicans now believe 26 years olds are children. We’re the change you’ve been waiting for!

This IS conservatism? Yeah sure.

What happened to the GOP being on probation? Tea Partiers better start contacting these established GOP leaders in the House to remind them that we are watching, and gladly will have able REAL conservative candidates ready for the GOP primaries in 2012.

I just called Cantor’s office in VA. She “doesn’t know”. I wonder what Laura has to say about this.

Attention all Republican Candidates:
I will vote against you if you allow ANY part of Obamacare to remail, no matter how small.
Zero Compromise or don’t expected to be re-elected.

I used to really like Cantor but now that he will actually be in a position to govern, he is turning into a big dissapointment.

I wish I could say this is a surprise — but it is not.

I have been pumping the fact that Cantor/Boener need to be replaced by comservatives. I suffered an avalanche of freeper criticism.

Now y’all see what I mean?

This battle is barely beginning, and that is why we need Jim DeMint, Sarah Palin, Matha Shepherd, Lt. Col Allen West and many others to take the RINO leadership of the GOP on.

As someone who has been in the health insurance business for 30+ years the pre-ex clause and allowing kids to stay on their parents plan are good measures. The rest of the plan sucks.

So many things can be done to lower health insurance premiums without gov’t interference.

For instance: One is to to have carriers go back to non profit status. Most carriers were this way for a 100 years but with the huge stock market run up back in the mid to late 90’s most carriers went to from non-profit status to for - profit status to ride the stock market wave. It backfired though. The premium rates literally shot up right thereafter and never stopped. Money that should have gone to patient care or keep premiums lower went to pay dividends instead.

Many carriers want to go back to non profit status but raising capital and moving back is difficult.

House Majority Leader-designate Eric Cantor (R-Va.) said Monday that Republicans will not be seeking to completely scrap the healthcare reform law.

Wrong answer, you jackwagon!

The redesign site for the RNC or whatever it was was taken down election night. The people in that group included McCain, Cantor, Kyl and Barbour, IIRC. I remember being surprised about Cantor and Barbour.

They have to be Progressives and statists.

Provisions that Republicans will seek to retain include the barring of insurance companies from refusing coverage to patients with a pre-existing condition

This alone proves he doesn't understand the problem. If an insurer cannot select the customers and terms they are willing to insure, it is not insurance.

Cantor responded to a question from a young woman who suffered from a chronic health condition by telling her, "We want to keep the pre-existing condition clause."

That's enough to completely destroy the private insurance system. Now, we can all wait until we're sick to buy health insurance. Unfortunately, insurance will be too expensive to actually purchase at that point. Insurance becomes cheaper when we remove government mandates - not add them!

When they pull the boxcar up to the siding to be loaded for a trip to the camps.

Have you ever heard the term “judas goat”?

The day that Cantor attended the Obama do-nothing “summit” I heard comments from him that overloaded the BS detector. Watch this guy! He’s preoccupied with ascending to Republican leadership positions, and I guarantee you that a year or two from now we will be referring to him in the same loving way we refer to Lindsay Grahmnasty or Juan McCain today. Cantor will be the new champion in the game of reaching across the aisle.

Why not totally repeal ObamaCare and simply reauthorize certain portions, such as the 26 year old claiming and preexisting conditions, in a new bill? This new bill could also include interstate purchasing of health insurance.
