I wish they would check the sources of income for these “farmers” who are getting a piece of this pie. There are only a select few who farm full time in my surrounding area and the others throw a crop in the ground once a year and make a few thousand dollars for extra income.

To provide payoff to the part timers is fraud.

If you read the article you would see this is an extension of the Pigford case.

Someone please get a copy of this bill and the enabling legislation so we can track who gets this money. There were only 33K black farmers in the first place of this “claim”. Now the possiblity exists for “proxy” claims and ripping off the increased amount. It is also doubtful that black farmers were discriminated against, just because someone said so. The reality is that farming is hard, black or white. These people have found a way to pad their rear ends. 4.6 B, imagine! Thats two stealth bombers.

Yesterday on the House floor,Michelle Bachman said something like “apparently” since so many racists work at the USDA and have committed racial discrimination “on the job”—federal felonies—she is looking forward to the DOJ investigating and prosecuting the criminals who have now cost the taxpayer 4.6 Billion Dollars.

Man,the subpoenas will be flying come January!!!

“Will they shut up about it now?”

The Pity Party will never shut up; they are already criminalizing the whiteness of people who haven’t even been born yet. The failure of the Union to address the contraband issue after the Civil War is an albatross around the neck of this formerly great nation.

“The country is not coming back...”

You’re right; as an “Anglo” male it has been obvious for over a decade through legalized and de facto quotas for ethnic minorities, women (who now make up almost 60% of college classes), etc.

I wouldn’t lift a finger to defend their New World Order; let the minorities, women, even sexual deviants suit up to defend what they’ve stolen.

“There are only a select few who farm full time in my surrounding area and the others throw a crop in the ground once a year and make a few thousand dollars for extra income.”

Here in NJ there are a growing number of people who set up bees or something similar that requires little work or property to earn the necessary income to be classified as a “farm” for gubmint subsidy purposes.

A pedant like me hates to admit ignorance but can you expound on this?

During the war the Union generals were pressing Lincoln as to what was to be done with the slaves that were being freed as the Union armies drove deeper into the South, as many of them started following the armies. The question was never resolved; the term for them at the time was war contraband.
