Gov. Bobby Jindal: Sarah Palin "Absolutely" Electable for President
Friday, December 3, 2010 | Kristinn

Posted on 12/03/2010 8:45:38 PM PST by kristinn

Saying let the voters decide, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal has 'manned up' and told Sarah Palin critics Joe Scarborough, the Republican establishment and D.C. insiders to back off in trying to pick who should be the Republican nominee for president in 2012.

In response to a question as to whether former Alaska Governor and 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin would be "electable" should she run for president, Jindal said "Oh, absolutely. I think it is up to her to make the case to voters," adding that Palin is one of "several strong (GOP) contenders."

Jindal made his comments during an interview with Al Hunt on Bloomberg TV.

Bolton at state would send shockwaves around the world. It’d be worth the price of admission, to be sure. Time for a shake-up at foggy bottom.

I have HUGE respect for Bolton

Really? He doesn’t have a problem w/TSA and he advised if you don’t like it, to stay home. So much for the Constitution and the citizens.

Jindal is a class act. Palin/Jindal was always my dream ticket

Gov Jindal is great but if Sarah Palin gets the nomination, my money is on her picking Texas Governor Rick Perry.

Jindal is a smart guy.

It's too bad he's not a natural born citizen.

Jindal won big points with me when he was critical of Obama during the oil spill. He was man enough to come out and defend his state when the most were too cowardly and were just dying tamp down any Bush-Katrina comparisons.

Amen to that.

Birtherism would not save us from, for example, President Ayers.

He was a natural born citizen of India as both of his parents were in America on Student Visas at the time of his birth. He was born a citizen of India and is legally eligible to be president or prime minister of India. So how can he also be eligible to be president of the United States?

The whole idea of making sure that the president was a "natural born citizen" was to avoid dual loyalties. Jindal, by nature of his birth was born with dual loyalties and hence is NOT eligible to be sworn in as president.

FWIW, Obama had at least one parent who was a citizen of the United States at the time of his birth. Jindal had none.

What are you doing here on this constitutionalist website if you don’t think the eligibility clause of the constitution applies? You’ve been trolling way too long.

Jindal would be America’s first Anchor Baby President. If he’s eligible to be president then so are the children of illegal aliens.

You can trot out the same tired birther talking points all you want, the ones that have failed repeatedly in case after case. Nobody cares. Nobody's buying this nonsense.

Nobody cares.

Sorry but I do and there are a lot of other Freepers out there who care about the constitution. Maybe you don't. Maybe you think that just because someone is Conservative that the Constitution doesn't apply to them. Well it does.

Jindal would probably make an excellent Chief Executive. Unfortunately he is not eligible to be the Chief Executive of the United States. He is a Natural Born Citizen of India not of the United States.

Pick another candidate. He's not going to be president. He's not eligible.

The Mainstream media will finally become interested in the definition “Natural Born Citizen” when the question is raised againest a Republican.

No, Jindal would be the 2nd Anchor Baby President. We’re stuck with the first one for 2 more years.

Liberal Trolls use the term Birther as a perjorative to describe anyone who has any question about the eligibility of a presidental candidate. That isn't going to work here.

Let me then ask you a question. Is ANYONE born in the United States a "Natural Born Citizen"? Or are there other qualifications? If Prince William and his wife had a baby boy while on student visas in the United States, would the future King of England also be eligible to be president of the United States?

Are you going to actually make a logical argument for his eligibility or are you just going to make an appeal to riducule?

Looks like your whole purpose is to troll. The constitution means nothing to you. The mods should have gotten rid of you long ago.
