Iran's nuclear energy chief Ali Akbar Salehi says his country has produced its first batch of yellowcake uranium, the material used for enrichment. Salehi said the development "strengthens" Tehran's position in the next round of nuclear talks, set to start Monday in Geneva.

The announcement by Salehi on Iranian TV had a dramatic pitch and a gave what appeared to be a solid plug for the well-being of Iran's nuclear program. Iranian TV commentators also took pains to deny rumors of a set-back to the program due to damage from the Stuxnet computer virus.

Uranium ore processed into yellowcake, or magnesium diuranate, at the mill at Jaduguda in Jharkhand. At the Nuclear Fuel Complex in Hyderabad, this yellowcake is fabricated into fuel bundles that power the 13 indigenous Pressurised Heavy Water Reactors in the country.

For the moment I suspect Iran is not really in the game. Iran is benched. The Israelis don’t seem worried about it and the drumbeat for attacking has muted.Iran won’t be up and running again for a while, maybe a few years. Stuxnet has been very expensive. In the meantime if the US were actually intent on survival we would be drilling for oil and gas an in all promising areas in and around North America and going full tilt for nuclear plants. The only way to put a lengthy hiatus to the Islamic War is to cut off the funding of it, i.e. quit buying the oil. We have the capability- nuclear and the oil and gas in the ground and offshore, - to be self sufficient and once we are self sufficient we can squeeze the oil in the ME so that it does not flow to Europe and less goes to China. The War will not end so long as there are both Moslems and infidels alive in the world but when Islam has not sufficient resources to wage war, it will dry up for a time. The alternatives are eventual conquest and Islamicization, or military and economic destruction of the primary actor(s) in the Moslem world- Iran, Arabia, and probably Pakistan.

They don’t have to be in the game just yet. We’re going to lose Europe in the meantime to the muzzies.

Obama a pacifist? There are plenty of dead folks in Afghanistan who can disprove that. He is a zealous warmonger, much to the dismay of many of his supporters.

Didn’t Obama restart the war in Afghanistan simply to find Osama; as if Osama were the only terrorist in the world? And how come he hasn’t been able to find him in two years. Obama’s appeasement of nuclear Iran and North Korea as displayed in the picture above as well as his mandated withdrawal from Iraq and soon coming withdrawal from Afghanistan are actions enough to testify to his pacifism.

Yellow cake uranium? That's no big deal! Remember what they said about all that yellow cake found in Iraq?
