My father and his two brothers enlisted after this.

One uncle went to France via Juno. He returned and would never say one word about it.

The other uncle went to French waters via Operation Neptune. He returned and would never say a word about it.

My father (youngest) was CG stationed in Alaska. He told me of my uncles.

God Bless the Greatest Generation

My dad as well didn’t talk about his war experience except for the ‘funny’ things that happened. When he was much older and near the end of life he started to relive the combat moments. He kept all of those bad memories to himself all of those years.

Yes, God Bless the Greatest Generation.

God Bless your Dad and his brothers-——I was at Juno Beach with the USCG Rescue Flotilla 1 on an 83’ cutter-——our 60 boat group was credited with saving over 1400 lives during the invasion period. At 88, I sometimes look back and wonder if it was worth it all to see my Nation being ruled by the absolute garbage that has been elected to lead what was once a Nation of Patriots-——not all, but most of the citizenry loved their country dearly back then (and many died to prove it-—not much about Pearl Harbor Day on the media today but 69 yrs is a long time for folks to remember anything as the schools don’t teach kids much of worth today—
