Whoa...24 hours?

Yup that’s “really” slow on the trigger finger there... /sarc>

Hey what did Jeb or Romney have to say about it?

**crickets**

PDS is such an ugly malady.

Lets face the fact. How about it? Palin chimed in after DeMint, Bachmann and others. She gets no credit for being a thinker when she only waits to hear what others are saying.

I have no interest in the Huffington Post. Since you seem to know what they talk about there, I would accuse you of being a frequent visitor.

Ain’t my fault you are delusional and downright silly.

Oh no!

Maybe Palin did get held up an hour or so because Wikileaks attacked her PAC and her personal credit cards, but all I know is that there’s no excuse: I could never in a million years vote for someone who wasn’t the first on every thread.

I love excuses. There is always one available. And they are like candy around here. Oh, the horrors.

Anyway, I can handle the usual abuse if we don’t fall in line.

The agreement was just yesterday...Palin is not in congress and not involved in the negotiations or legislation. I’m sure she hadn’t had a chance to see all that was in the compromise and it’s been a whole 24 hours.

It’s a ridiculous standard to hold her to and just shows how really weak and desperate her detractors are.(actually pathetic) You are so desperate to find something negative to say about her, it’s hilarious! You are a joke.

As for the Huffington Post, you would be welcomed with open arms there. You have the lib talking points down better than most of them do.

I just go to there sometimes to get a laugh and keep up on their delusions, but I guess I won’t have to any more if you’re going to bring that fevered nonsense over here.

Good luck with that, indylib-talker.

Now that she’s getting a WaPo paycheck, Rubin has turned on Palin like a rabid dog.

I would tell you I have been a conservative probably a hell of a lot longer than you. Long enough to know a real one from one that has only been one since 2009.

Palin is somewhere between McCain and Bush. Now maybe that is a conservative to you, but not to me.

Talk is cheap, Conservatives were hungry for a hero and she made herself one. Thats fine, but it isn’t steeped in years of conservative wisdom and conservative thought.

Excuses are fine, but they are what they are. Excuses.

Palin:quit
Romney:Romneycare
Huck:criminal appeaser

Wow, what a lineup.

Saying Palin quit implies she was just lazy or didn’t care.

That is clearly not the case. People resign from office for many reasons, some very noble ones, as she did.

At first it may seem like a negative, but lucky for her, she has the truth on her side.

Paid Obama operatives and left wing bloggers were harassing her with dozens of phony ethics lawsuits, sometimes filling them using fake Soap Opera character names, using Alinsky tactics that were bankrupting her family and stifling her administration. She had personal legal bills over $500,000 with no end in sight. These bogus lawsuits were also costing the state of Alaska, and the governors work was not getting accomplished.

She was literally spending ALL her time defending these frivolous suits, and they had effectively hamstrung her administration. These radical tactics were working because Alaska has a unique ethics law that does not protect elected officials from personal legal bills...so the game was on.

Having been through three legislative sessions and having implemented most of her agenda (which was very successful) and knowing she had a responsible Lt. Governor who shared her vision of Alaska, she thwarted their efforts by taking herself out of the equation. She recognized she had become a lighting rod to her political opponents and nothing more could be accomplished in her lame duck year if she were at the helm.

That single selfless act stopped all the nonsense and Alaska has done well under the new governor, as he has been able to continue Sarah Palin’s agenda without the distractions of bogus lawsuits.

Some of her opponents say she did this for purely selfish reasons, but that begs credulity. By resigning she risked that she could have ruined any potential future political ambitions. (Her political enemies certainly push this narrative) There were no guarantees her book would sell as it did. As vilified as she had been it is entirely possible she could have fallen flat with her endeavors since then...resigning was a real risk, but she saw it as the right and principled thing to do for her state.

You would probably agree with me on the notion that not everyone(all the potential voters) see things as the avid Palin supporters. I do understand that you believe as you do.

I, speaking for me only, would have much rathered her say she was stepping down to pursue the goal of POTUS. At least that signifies strength and resolve.

The excuses used are counterproductive and harmful if you wish to step up to President. It is hard to believe that if the going was to rough to go as Governor, how could you posssibly take the heat that would come to you as a Presidential candidate or as President? You know all that was thrown at Bush. We wonder why he never fought back. He didn’t because this is what it would have led to.

You know, not everyone is going to feel comfortable with excuses for why she stepped down. This will be used to pummel her and rightfully so. She took a calculated risk in doing what she did. She will have gained and she will lose some for doing so. Do not think that the others who will be in the competition will let this slide.

If Palin is the candidate and she can overcome her flaws, I will vote for her. Obama must go.

But this isn’t a cakewalk. Everyone who enters will have their pros and cons.

This is just bullsh*t. She wasn't concerned about the 'heat'. She has handled more heat than any other candidate and does so with a smile and an unwavering firm resolve.

The left had her at their mercy due to the Alaska laws, something that no other governor or president would have to face. They had already cost the state of Alaska over 2 million and she knew they were not going to stop. The legal bills were going to bankrupt her family. She could have stayed on as governor, getting nothing accomplished and ruining her family and losing her home.

At that point she would then be the failed, destitute governor with little influence and no money....they would have succeeded in ruining her, which was their goal. This would have been the desired result of the Obama administration and apparently Karl Rove and the RINO brigade in Washington.

I, for one, am happy she found a way to thwart their evil intentions.

I agree no one is perfect, but you, pissant, and Earl need to stop promoting the leftist lies about her. I know you are doing it just to get a reaction...that is by definition trolling. Stop being a troll, not cool.

If you disagree with some policy she advocates that's fine, but these bullsh*t claims (she's dumb, a quitter, inexperienced, crazy, whatever) that come straight from the DNC are going to get a response from her supporters. Deservedly so.

Mike Pence, Jim DeMint.

This shows a real lack of political comprehension.

Members of the House of Representatives can always stay pure in their ideology if they are in a conservative district. They are legislators, one vote out of hundreds.

They don't have any experience in making tough decisions that affect a whole population that they are singularly held responsible for.

That's why House members are almost never elected to the Presidency. They make terrible executives and also they have almost no name recognition or national support.

Guys like you should change your name to Don Quixote, because getting all worked up about these no chance House members is just tilting at windmills.

The Romney's and McCain's love guys like you though. If they can split the conservative vote among several conservative candidates with no chance of winning, they know they can win the nomination with a plurality. It happens almost every time.

I do not promote leftist lies. I also am not so enamored of a candidate that I am unable to see their individual realities. The leftist lies are all personal about her. I believe none of that. I go by her record and what she has done that is not a leftist lie.

You are somehow emotionally attached. I am not.

You see, I am not your problem. I was just looking at a thread where a Palin supporter said that if Sarah was not the candidate she was not voting for anyone. I don't feel that way. We have a race, we have a primary. If Palin wins, I vote for her. I am willing to accept the will of the GOP voters.

I do not want 4 more years of Obama. So when you pick on me, remember we still have a primary process. After that, we unite. Until then, I will continue to point out any flaws I may see in a candidate. I have been doing that and I won't stop because I get insulted a few times.

Sarah could have remained Governor to build on conservative credentials. Not my fault that she chose to do otherwise. You see, talk is cheap.

Darlin’ you have no idea what over the top is. I will tell you what is over the top. 11 plus million newly minted democrats brought to you by the Dream Act.

If it passes the Senate, no Republican will be elected anytime in the future. All of this will just be lame jabber.

Chew on that.

Sweetheart, apparently you have no idea that I've already chewed on the Dream Act, 12 minutes before you posted to me.

Here's an idea.

What do you say we(really you) stop with the pissing contest about who criticized the Dream Act or the Tax Plan first, and instead agree that there is strength in unity against things like the Tax Plan and especially the Bad Dream Act?

Okay?

I'm sure you will think that reasonable.

Have a good night.

Regardless of who is involved, announcing within the first 24 hours in a 24 hour news cycle counts as being out in front, in my book at least.

First of all, you three should cool your jets. I observed a fact. By definition, observation of a fact is not an "attack." Palin tweets, which is an instantaneous form of communication. She didn't use Twitter to get out in front of this particular issue. Others led on it. No biggie. I commented only because most of the posts on this thread made it seem as though she led on this particular issue when she didn't.

Secondly, if you're going to be this thin-skinned about even the most mild comments such as this, you're going to be basket cases two years from now. And you do her zero favors by behaving this way. What way? By constantly getting hysterical over anything you perceive as a slight against her, and attempting to shut down all voices on the Right who don't always speak in the most glowing terms about her. Not only is that the worst form of fanaticism, but it's also facistic.

Yes, yes, yes, the Left has attacked her strongly. Boo-frickin-hoo. Get a grip and be better than they are. Smart people do not buy goods anyone is selling until they have a chance to examine the goods. All you do by behaving this way is repel people before they have a chance to examine the goods.
