Obama says vote on tax deal crucial, has potential to create 'millions of jobs'

WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama says a congressional vote on the tax-cut deal he negotiated with Republicans will determine whether the nation's economy "moves forward or backward."

The president again pressed Congress to pass the agreement, saying it has the potential to create millions of jobs. He said if it fails, Americans would see smaller paychecks and it would result in fewer jobs.

He was hoping to destroy more jobs but ended up being forced to yield.

Obama is not only a complete idiot he is also a complete liar. How this piece of garbage ever became President is a real mystery.

Does he mean IN ADDITION to the 5 million jobs already provided by the stimulus bill ???

If extending the current tax rates will create millions of jobs, why did they wait till the last moment to act on them. I think they have put their foot in a giant trap with this one. So they could have done this last year and didn’t? They have been saying for two years that the bush tax cuts caused the recession and now extending them is going to help get us out. Ayyyeeee! talk about twisting yourself into a pretzel.

If this mope's lips are movin' there's always a "snake oil" angle to whatever he's claiming.

That's why I aptly named him "Snake Oil" Barry months ago!!!

More evidence this dunce couldn't run a lemonade stand on his own. The "tax deal" probably will net few jobs, but it will prevent serious harm to the already bitched up economy, and in that sense probably save many more.
