Isn’t Collins up in 2012? This is where McConnell needs to sit her down and tell her if there is a more conservative candidate in the primary, she is getting tossed overboard. So what if a democrat wins the seat; what’s the difference?

I wish. Salvation by "works" combined with "The Righteous are wealthy" combined with "God is a jealous and angry God who visits sins down onto ancestors", for a poor, HUGELY over acheiving descendant of Martin Harris (Who lost a big chunk of the original book of mormon) can lead anyone to suicide. A devout hard working but poor mormon can actually be led by doctrine that God does not love him and he is also doomed for eternity. Salvation by works leads to loss of hope.
The problem is that this appeals to their constituencies and they will get re-elected. So, blame belongs to the voters too.

“As soon as I found out he was speaking I rushed to the floor,” Collins said and then asked if it were true that Reid was really filing for cloture.
The majority leader said it was.
Collins looked crushed.
“I think that is so unfortunate,” Collins said. “I want to vote to proceed to this bill. I just do not understand why we can’t proceed along a path that will bring us to success and will allow us to get the 60 votes.”
Collins blamed Reid for blowing any chance to get the bill passed.
Reid blamed Republicans for holding true to their commitment that they would not vote for anything until Democrats met their demands on the Bush tax cut extension.
“I have bent over backwards to find a way to get this bill done,” he said. “But it is clear that Republicans – led by a couple of Senators who simply do not want to have a vote on repealing ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ – are doing everything they can to stand in the way.”
“In my effort to get this done, I don’t know how I could have been more reasonable,” he added.
After the failed vote, Leiberman and Collins announced they were introducing a free standing bill on “don’t ask, don’t tell.”
“We’re not going to give up. We’re going to keep fighting until the last possible moments of this session,” Lieberman said. “As far as the effort to repeal ‘don’t ask, don’t tell,’ it ain’t over.”
He added that he was “sure” Reid would wait for the tax extension and government funding process to be completed before putting the free-standing measure up to a vote.
A reporter asked him how he could trust Reid after what happened Thursday.
“That’s a good question,” he said.
If you think there are no Mormons serving in the U.S. military (past-present-and future), you are wrong. If you think Harry Reid represents a Mormon point of view, wrong again.

I cannot believe the young men doing the ‘mission march’ are purposely lying. I do believe the leadership of the LDS know the deeper aspects of the religion and know it is not Christianity, but they do not teach the ‘deeper’ aspects to these duped youngmen. The ‘milk before meat’ applies to the untaught heresies of Mormonism, but everyone thinks it applies to the easy to discover aspects like the god and jesus of Mormonism not being the same as God and Jesus of traditional Christianity. And that in itself is a very sad thing to witness, the likely destruction of the young men and women souls caught up in the lies and heresies of Mormonism, unaware of the demonic nature of the lies inherent in Mormonism.

Yes, the Mormon Church actively supported Proposition 8, the declaration that marriage is one man/one woman only, during the 2008 election and were viciously attacked by “rainbow” demonstrators after it passed!!

With this move, Collins just neutered McConnell.
She, and the rest of the GOP Senate caucus, let alone the RATs, won’t take him seriously from now on.
