CARACAS, Venezuela — Close to 14,000 people were murdered in Venezuela last year and the figure could be significantly higher, a prominent human rights group said Thursday, alluding to the rampant crime that has become a central concern of Venezuelans. Venezuela has one of Latin America's highest murder rates and the government has stopped releasing complete annual figures, making arriving at an exact figure difficult. In its annual report, the Provea human rights group said a total of 13,985 people were slain last year, but thousands more in this country of 28 million inhabitants were likely killed.

and this is the country that Russia is partnering with to make sure they have missles that can reach the United States.

and this is Chavez’ country whose picture was posted in one of the obamanation offices when he was running for president... and who the obamanation sought out for a picture op.

Crap, was just about to move to the socialist utopia of vuvuzela and you had to go point out that the murder rate there is at least 10 times higher than in this capitalist, imperialist, gun loving, blood thirsty, western shoot out nation I call home...

Now what to do? You just spoiled my plan to retire at 45 and live off the nationalized wealth of foreign corporations.

On to plan B...

The desenters, the gazintas who’s counting he’s got a friend in Obama. We must realize that when and if we are able to turn on the light again and all the roaches scatter to darker places once more, it will be a much different world.

My point was that in the whole USA there are 17,000 murders a year, yet in that small country of Venezuela there are 14,000. So, it IS a hell hole compared to the US.

I thought I was agreeing with you. If it came across woring you have my apologies.

My point was that the US is "presented" to the world, particularly our second amendment rights, as a lawless shoot first and step on the little guy society. When in reality it is the shit holes like venezuela that create and maintain oppression and poverty s that a few elitists can have power.

I think we are on the same side of this discussion and something got lost in translation.

Take care.
