Democrats made gains in Calif., but can they fix the Golden State?
Washington Post ^ | Dan Balz

SACRAMENTO - In the Year of the Republicans, California is the great exception. Whatever force hit the rest of the country in November stopped at the California border. Democrats won every statewide office on the ballot. They increased their already hefty majority in the State Assembly and maintain a sizable majority in the Senate. Their congressional delegation remains intact, as well. For Democrats, that is cause for celebration, given the battering they took almost everywhere else. But it is also cause for sober reflection. Are they up to the task of governing?

California is in the sewer and a lost cause. RATs have destroyed CA. Everyone that can is leaving; companies are fleeing by the hundreds. California is DemocRAT hell. Only RAT hell holes gives you the likes of Moonbeam, Pelosi, Boxer, Newsome, Waters, Feinstein et al.

It’s not the Mexicans. A lot of Mexicans hate the democRATs as much as anybody else. They loved Bush. “Bless him’ one guy I know said to me.

By the way, Hispanics voted 2 to 1 for leftist Jerry Brown, because the Republican candidate fired her illegal alien maid.

Ya can't make this stuff up!!

Thanks for the laugh!.

Getting liberal Democrats to fix California is like getting Nazis to look in to hate crimes against Jews.

Fix it? Who do you think {expletive}'d it up in the first place? Conservatives? Nope - liberal Democrats and their idiotic, unsustainable policies. No bailouts for California, let it go bankrupt as a test case and warning to other States.

After Arnold lost all those good propositions he gave up. Maria (KENNEDY) Shriver Schwarzenegger has been running California for years. I loved California before the Rats ruined it. We left, after 19 years, when my husband's company called it quits in California.

Governor Moonbeam knows he can’t balance the California budget given all the special interest influence. His only choices are to tax more or spend less. Public employee unions and those residents of California receiving the largesse will fight tooth and nail to raise taxes to keep their personal gravy train rolling. The solution he suggested on TV a couple of nights ago is to refer the budget options to the voters. It’s safe to assume the benefactors of the state largesse will vote for more taxes, sending the state further down the toilet, and Moonbeam dodges the bullet since he can say the voters made the choice. Unfortunately those paying the taxes in California are now a minority and are becoming more so as the taxpayers leave the state.

“Question directed at Nachum “Are you on crack?””

I did not think that was directed at me. -However if it was, my family has drained me of all mental function years ago.

Two big radical left wing changes are coming according to
the Capital Guy and Radio Host Brian Sussman :

1. Jerry Brown has been working with the Dems in State houses to rewrite the meaning of Prop 13 so they plan to jack both Residential and Commercial property taxes thru the ROOF.
2. Mark Leno's SB 810 bill which was vetoed twice will be rammed thru and Brown will sign it and the Dems can eliminate all private health insurance and hire a whole new sea of SEIU nutters to control all CA residence health-care and a whole new sea of taxes to finance it.

Remember the State Budget does not need 2/3 vote to pass anymore !!!

Oh, I just noticed, you’re from CA.

I repeat, TX is not, nor will ever be CA.

Yes, we have illegals. Yes, South TX is a political mess.

But the “lefties” do not run the state and if they ever think they will try....there will be a serious lesson learned.

Don’t Mess with Texas.

Texas is not where you were born, but a State of Mind, Heart and Attitude.

Goes something like this: “Leave us alone to live our lives in peace and we will get along fine, if that is not satisfactory, we will deal with it.”

The fact is that the two major urban areas of L.A. and San Francisco carry so many votes now, they can fairly crush any Senatorial or Gubanatorial candidate.

Absolutely. But you have to wonder if the Dems/Progressives really want to save CA. If you haven't already, please read up on the Cloward & Piven strategy for collapsing capitalism to replace it with socialism.

After years of watching the Berkeley crazies, Jerry Brown, the San Francisco Commies like Boxer, Pelosi, Dellums, etc., Tom Hayden, Jackie Goldberg and their scary L.A.crew to name just a few, a clear pattern seems obvious to me. If they can knock off CA and its enormous economy the rest of the country will be duck soup for socialist activism. I think CA is intended to be the first domino of many to fall.
