MINNEAPOLIS – A storm that spanned parts of eight states continued to dump heavy snow in the upper Midwest on Sunday, collapsing the Metrodome in Minneapolis and forcing numerous road closures.
The storm was moving eastward a day after it dumped 20 inches of snow in some places. A Sunday NFL football game between the New York Giants and the Minnesota Vikings had already been pushed to Monday because the Giants couldn't get to Minneapolis to play when the inflatable Metrodome collapsed Sunday. It's uncertain when that game will now be played.
A blizzard warning was in effect Sunday for Chicago and much of northern Illinois, all of Iowa, large sections of southern Minnesota and Wisconsin, and smaller areas in North Dakota, South Dakota, Missouri and Michigan, according to the National Weather Service. Most of the rest of the region was under a winter storm warning or a hard freeze watch.
Wisconsin authorities issued a statewide no-travel advisory Saturday, citing blizzard and winter storm warnings in nearly every county.

Maybe a vicious conspiracy to force us to build a new stadium at taxpayer expense because the entertainment industry called football needs our support in the form of corporate welfare. Of maybe 17 inches of snow and 40 MPH winds. One or the other.
Wonder what this will do to the push for a new stadium at taxpayer expense, eh, Zigy?

I was watching the NFL Network this morning while cooking breakfast (eggs, brats, bacon & bagel) and they had 5 guys shoveling snow off of the metrodome roof. Clearly this is God’s message to the Vikings to play in an outdoor stadium.
The result will be an enormous, cost prohibitive, number.
How in the World does this remain as a front page item on the MSNBC Abc AOL website and a TERRORIST BOMBING overnight in the capital city of a Western country is NOT? You can’t wAILY DINS ny mwnriuon od ir in thw e liberal MSM.

How do you think they’ll get to soak the taxpayers to pay for another stadium if not for things like this?
Few businesses get to have the taxpayers buy them workspace and then keep the profits.
