Lleida in the northeastern Catalonia region on Thursday became Spain's first city to introduce a ban on wearing the face-covering Islamic burqa in public places. These places include offices, sports centres, markets and other property owned by the city council. The niqab - which covers the face but leaves a small slit for the eyes - has also been banned.
In neighbouring France, the national parliament in September outlawed the burqa and veils which cover the face...
The same month, two separate bills were presented in the upper and lower houses of the Italian parliament which aim to end the wearing of burqas and face-covering garments in Italy on security grounds.

Surprising that this would happen in a city there. But a good start! :)
Let's just hope it is not too late for Europe.

OIL is the only reason the Muslims have gained such great power in the West.And it need never have happened;we didn't even need to take their oil by force,all we need have done was build lots of nuclear power plants using a proven,standard design as have the French,drilled and mined the oil,coal, and gas which is in our own territory,expanded hydropower instead of destroying dams,and a few other truly common-sense acts By we I mean the entire Western world..
The enviromental whackos have been useful idiots as a justification for the Muslim -controlled oil producers to gain control of the world economy.
Bringing in Muslim Somali refugees to the U.S. hasn't helped the black African Christians being murdered in Africa.
If Christian refugees had been brought over it would have been somewhat better;especially if we trained and armed them to go back and put a stop to the murderous rampages of the Muslim terrorists..
There are a few people in a few places who finally get it. Not enough.
What is really scary is that Europe is taking the lead on an obvious security-threat matter, and, an abusive practice on a segment of the population.
Can you imagine the stink groups like CAIR and other Islamic groups would raise if burqas were banned? They would be clogging our courts.
To really give this some teeth, they need to take the burqa-clad offender and whisk her off for an Extreme Makeover and then to Glamour Shots. That ought to help. :)

I see women typically in threes scurrying about in a store or whatnot covered up with their scarves and long robes and see how excited they are to be not in the company of a male relative. It’s really quite comical to observe.
Remember, in the US they are trying a sort of moderate Islamism where the women can drive and run around like giggling school girls holding hands, literally running around to get their shopping done without the presence of a male relative. They are tripped out over the prospect of being out from underneath the patriarchal thumb so they still run out of some sort of instinct. Okay maybe not run, but they move fast like they are out after curfew.
It evolution in action. I don’t like the get ups though. Those things are very much societal subculturalism, not needed and not wanted.
