Immigrant advocates say they’re making a last-ditch effort to push U.S. Sen. Scott Brown to support the "DREAM Act."
A coalition of advocates, educators and religious leaders have scheduled a press conference Monday at Boston City Hall to pressure the Massachusetts Republican to vote for the federal proposal.
It would allow some illegal immigrants to qualify for permanent legal residency by graduating from college or a trade school or by joining the military. The Senate is slated to vote on the measure this week.
Brown has said that he opposes the bill and sees it as "amnesty."

Hang on there Scott. This alone would be enough to earn conservative support for this battled blue-state senator. Amnesty would permanently change this country.
Brown had better side with America on the DREAM Act...those Illegal Alien Rights and Hispano-Racist groups do not vote for GOP...nor will I if the GOP caves to the Illegal Alien hate groups

The Dream act is a lot worse than this article describes it as.
Anyone who believes it will allow a few immigrants is nuts.
If Scott Brown helps hold the line on the “NIGHTMARE” act, he should be forgiven all of his previous RINO behavior (and given indulgences for some of his future RINOism).
Many of these “kids” have had two decades to get “documented”.
The electorate of this country has hosed us beyond belief.

Oh no! Doncha see, the kids never knew! Yeah, that’s the ticket , they never knew and their parents never told them and they never asked, so you see it’s a lot like “They didn’t Ask and we didn’t tell”. And you can’t blame the chilin, and of course you can’t blame the parents, so it’s gotta be OUR fault, and all we’re trying to do is make it right, and sure a seventh of Mexico’s population is now living here, but a seventh, a sixth, a fifth, what’s in a fraction. The main thing is, they’re all future democrats for gods sake!
I just wonder how much money John Cornyn will give this RINO and take from possible tea party primary winners in 2012?
I think Brown can win re-election if he holds the line on this. If not, he gets about half the number of votes as he did when elected. And endless hate mail.
