Signs Suggest that N.Korean Regime Is Cracking

South Korean, U.S. and Japanese foreign ministry officials talked about the possibility that the North Korean regime has lost control and gone off the rails since the artillery attack on Yeonpyeong Island, it emerged Friday. On Thursday, President Lee Myung-bak said North Koreans are now much aware of the outside world. "I feel reunification is now not far off."

A senior government official said, "Having watched the North launch a series of provocations such as the torpedo attack on the Navy corvette Cheonan, its uranium enrichment program and the shelling of Yeonpyeong Island, officials in Seoul, Washington and Tokyo recently discussed the need to look at the North's latest movements from a completely new viewpoint."

He said some officials saw the Yeonpyeong attack as merely another round in a familiar pattern of provocations, "but others said that it shows that the situation on the Korean Peninsula has entered a new phase." This may mean the regime "has lost control internally," he added.

A North Korean source said, "There are some unusual signs now that it's difficult for Kim Jong-il to make all the decisions alone as before." He speculated that the process of transferring power to Kim Jong-un is going badly.

DPRK to DPRK
Got to say I ain’t gonna play Pyongyang City

Chorus:
I ain’t gonna play Pyongyang City
I ain’t gonna play Pyongyang City
(Everybody Say)
I ain’t gonna play Pyongyang City
(No baby)
I ain’t gonna play Pyongyang City

Relocation to education camps
Separation of families I can’t understand
Twenty three million can’t breath ‘cause they’re not free
We’re stabbing our brothers and sisters in the back I’m gonna say

Obama tell us “we’re doing all we can”
“Constructive engagement”, too, was Bush and Clinton’s plan
Meanwhile people are dying and giving up hope
This quiet diplomacy ain’t nothing but a joke

Chorus:

It’s time to accept resposibility
Freedom is a priviledge nobody rides for free
Look around the world baby it cannot be denied
Why we’re always on the wrong side

Chorus:

Yodok Prison is far away
But we know it’s in North Korea no matter what they say
You can’t buy me I don’t care what you pay
Don’t ask me Pyongyang City ‘cause I ain’t gonna play

Chorus:

Relocation to education camps
Separation of families I can’t understand
Twenty three million can’t breathe ‘cause they’re not free
We’re stabbing our brothers and sisters in the back I’m gonna say

Squeeze the north now. Press the north. Stand up. Upon the next provocation, retaliate in force. Let’s solve the problem.

The north’s military is crap. North Korea will cave and we can reunify the pennisula. Solve the problem.

Reunification will kill nuclear programs in several third world countrys.

You mite want to check the size of the NK army and what

they are armed with,,,

They have the largest arty force on earth,,,IIRC,,,
(6,000 guns + rocket forces)

75% of it is dug into the ridges along the DMZ,,,

I have read that they can put 10,000 rounds per min. on

Seoul for three days,,,

That said,,,I think this latest is a “poke in the eye”,,,

Something to watch close...

"I’m sure the 5 Man Electrical Band thanks you for the plug"

And Tesla; they did a good unplugged cover of it, and even named their album "5 Man Acoustical Jam" as an homage.

That's pronounced "Ahhhh-Mahhhjjj".

Totalitarian systems are extremely brittle. They look solid and impenetrable right up until they collapse. There's YouTube video of Ceaucescu's last speech from a balcony in Bucharest. The crowd laughed at him. He and the Mrs. were executed soon there after.

Remember the last press conference of the Politburo during the self-coup attempt? They were literally shaking with fear up there. The Soviet Union collapsed within days.

The NorK's could collapse faster than anyone thinks. All that needs to happen is for people in the Army to decide not to follow orders. Lose the fear, bring down the regime.

I’ve often fantasized about finding where Les Emmerson (he wrote the song) lives now and squatting on his property with a few dozen friends. When he calls the police, I shout “Hey! what gives you the right?”
