North Korea: "The situation on the Korean Peninsula is inching close to the phase of an all-out war"
Pyongyang, North Korea ^ | December 11, 2010 | Korean Central News Agency

Posted on 12/13/2010 9:35:09 AM PST by EnjoyingLife

The U.S. imperialists openly approved the puppet forces' plan to attack the DPRK by mobilizing all fighters and warships, etc. not bound to the existing "rules and regulations for battles," touting "their right to self-defence." They, at the same time, declared they would consider the proposal for supporting the puppet forces with "information about north Korea" and with "F-22 Raptors" advertised by them as the "most sophisticated fighters in the world" in case of a war between the north and the south of Korea.

This indicates that the U.S. is fully joining in the puppet forces' moves for a war of aggression against the DPRK after throwing away the disguise of a hypocrite.

The puppet warmongers are behaving like mad dogs after facing resolute punishment by the Korean People's Army for their reckless military provocations. They are going reckless, vociferating about "retaliation" and "punishment."

Wasn’t Barry supposed to make everyone love us by sitting down with them without pre-conditions?

More to the point, how does doing more than saber-rattling benefit Kim and his dimwitted heir? A real war will devastate North and South Korea, with unpredictable consequences for the Kim dynasty.

That's a very good question. In the short term South Korea has much more to lose, simply because they have MUCH MORE. Long term, and if wikileaks is to be believed, China is accepting of a Korean Peninsula controlled by South Korea. North Korea isn't going to be good for a long haul war without dedicated support from China.

Wow, that would be good for everyone if China balls up & decides to dump NK.

That breaking the cease fire in favor of full open war is justified or even necessary may be true. However there is a political reality that America is currently a war weary country. The politics of our day may have a far bigger impact on what we do militarily on the Korean Peninsula than what we are capable of doing...or need to be doing.

No, really it wouldn’t. We’ve got something like 28,000 troops in the way over there and they wouldn’t be much more than a speedbump. If China bails on NK, we could very easily be looking at an atomic war. After all, what do you think will happen if NK thinks they don’t have anything to lose? This won’t end well.

If you mean a "low heat signature," well...

Every airplane powered by a fuel-burning engine emits some heat. Some emit more than others.

Look at the image. Look at the width of the thermally-blurred trails as they go up into the forested background. Look at their relative size and density.

As you're doing this, recall that the weight of a B-2 is about four times weight of an F-22.

Such questions only make sense if the North Koreans are sane....

The Kim dynasty probably has a very luxurious bolt hole in Switzerland and billions in gold stored away to survive on, plenty of distance to set off the fireworks and watch the outcome from the sidelines

assuming they operate with sanity and deliberations

Its also possible the Kims are just insane nihilist bullies who are accustomed to pushing against the weak West and having us and the ROKs kowtow to them - the ROKs are Korean, too, and may be approaching “save face” meltdown, imho

war by miscalculation - one of a thousand ways to die

It's easy to talk about how the world "needs" more war.

I checked twice and apparently my first impression was wrong. This was not a White House press release.
