I Just Got Through to John Boehner's Office
First Vanity In Years | 12/13/10 | Me

Posted on 12/13/2010 10:41:46 AM PST by snowrip

...and I suggest you do the same.

Boehner is faced with either voting for a democrat tax "compromise" bill laden with pork and earmarks on everything from windmills to ethanol production, or throwing it out and starting over. If he votes to support it, he will have not only caved to a lame-duck democrat majority to lose the very first battle of the House, he will have shown the democrats that everything the American people voted for ends on the Capitol steps.

And that is the real issue. With a resounding cry of "ENOUGH!", Americans voted against business as usual in Washington this past month. We're waiting to see if we have to do it again with the next election cycle. If the Boehner-led republicans continue the fat-cat, backroom-deal making that got incummbent RINOs thrown out of office along with the democrat garbage, the republican party is toast.

Call (202) 225-3121 and ask for John Boehner's office to let him know how you feel about his consideration of rolling over in the first inning.

Can someone tell me what he was crying about?

He is a very emotional man. He cares about America. He cares about the American dream. He cries when he thinks of how far he has come (never suspected he'd become one of the most powerful in America). And, he cries when he thinks that many of our children and grandchildren will never be able to obtain the American dream.

Keep in mind that the media is the one who harps on his crying. He probably doesn't do it that much (confirmed by his wife in interview), but THEY have to point it out every time they talk about him - that and his tan and his golfing and his drinking and, well, you know how the media is?

I like the guy, so I will ignore the liberal media and other snide comments.

That said, he needs to man up. This is a war for the survival of the country. Not Oprah’s couch. He better have what it takes to stand up to these communists that are destroying the country.

he was sobbing out his support for granting citizenship to illegal aliens who wanted a college education.

Please explain where you heard this. If you are referring to his interview with Leslie, you are wrong. I saw the interview and that was not what I heard or observed.

If you didn’t see the whole interview, you’ll be happy to know that he is man enough.

I saw some news clips back before the elections when Pelosi and Reid where shoving bills down our throats where it seemed Boehner was a lone wolf standing against their “rush” to pass them before the American public got wind. He knew there was a better way.

He is no fan of Obama and he knows that if they (Repubs) do not listen to the American people we’ll vote them out lickety split (he told Leslie this in interview). So, he knows. Will he be perfect? No. Even conservatives have different points of view so he’ll have a hard time doing everything every conservative wants.

I got through, but had to leave a voice mail. I suggest everyone do the same. More pork barrel politics isn’t the way to fix the nation.

I reflexively resist bribes and pork politics. The federal goverment was effectively shut down for 2 months last year with snow. Did ANY ONE NOTICE?

We don't need these turkeys and we don't need them stealing our money at gun point.

The only Federal programs we need are the military defense of our nation and the FAA. The FAA could be merged into our military defense.

See how we have stereotyped the male gender. Boys don’t cry. So, they learn to keep their emotions inside. Consequently, men suffer from numerous illnesses because they aren’t taught to deal with their feelings. They also become more aggressive and angrier.

I don’t care how much John cries as long as he stands up to the regime on our behalf.

I’ve never been threatened by a man’s tears. Obviously that is not true for others.

Of course some of us reflexively oppose compromise, when it’s with the debbil.

I think that we are at a point in America when it is no longer a contest of wills between the ideologies of liberal vs. conservative, but a contest of good vs. evil. Witness the lopsided, strangled passage of the healthcare “reform” bill as a perfect example: with polls in the weeks leading up to the final vote running as high as 86% against it, the democrats shoved it through anyway. How did they do it? They told any lie, broke any law, and made or took any bribe neccessary to get the job done.

These are the people, and the mentality, that our representatives face every day in Washington. Do we really, really want to compromise with that? Ever?

When you infect a good idea with a bad one, the only “compromise” you get is that the integrity of the good is compromised by the infection of the bad. What is bad for America is good for the democrat party; the democrats have proven time after time after time that they are for party first and America second. For a while, many in the GOP were almost exactly the same way.

When you stick your hand in a dog’s cage and he bites you, eventually you learn to stop sticking your hand in his cage... reflexively. Like a rabid animal, the democrat party has shown that it cannot be reasoned with and must not be compromised with. Our country is at stake.

Boehner is not Speaker.

I know he's not the current speaker, but I thought he was certain to become the next speaker. I was simply wondering how the speaker is chosen, and if necessary, rechosen.

I think that you’re reading far too much into this, but thank you for the ongoing introspective on men and crying.

What pissed me off about that interview is that Boehner shed tears over the needs of illegal aliens to live the American dream, rather than over the needs of American citizens who are trying to do the same thing.

I'm reading too much into this? You write a vanity based on supposition, and I'm reading too much into this.

Fine, whatever.

But it's worth repeating... Boehner voted against the DREAM act last week.

Have a great rest of the day!

I wrote a vanity based upon the need to contact Boehner’s office, in opposition to his vote on the tax compromise package.

There is no supposition in either the original post, or in my opening comment: the original post is based upon statements from his office as well as on his own words, and the opening quote based upon recorded video of Boehner’s own words. I am well aware of his vote against the DREAM Act, as I am equally well aware of the predisposition of any RINO to change their vote with whatever the political wind dictates, rather than upon what is good for America. Boehner has plenty of RINO tendencies, as indicated by his voting record.

If Boehner is a RINO then everyone is a RINO according to your definition.

" Did you offer John a tissue? "

Hey, a whole roll is too much. Give him ONE SQUARE.

(Gotta consider the environment.)
