And now the RINOs are free to help the Democrats pass DREAM, DADT Repeal, and START. Reid might even have time to dust off the House’s Cap and Trade bill, and get that passed.

Obama is itching to get this puppy passed it is a stimulus.
He wants it because it clearly has more BS funding for dead people and votes for him.

He is the devil himself making America suffer and then slightly letting us maybe eat; then throwing in all of this garbage. HE knows the GOP look like crap if they don’t pass it.

What else do you think Harry Reid wants to work on in this lamest of lame duck sessions? He’s got the time to do it and I’m sure he has a few slobbering big government Republicans that will go along, so why not? It’s now or never.

The vote has been going on for over 2 hrs. It is still open “because of the weather.” The vote count now is 79 - 10.

The GOP is apparently spending the rest of December desperately Whigging itself into oblivion. It's not even morning and they have not only already lost all respect for any November victories the Tea Party and Indie vote gave them, they are telling the other guys that the sex wasn't that good.

Gibbs: START's Up Next

"White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said Monday that “don’t ask, don’t tell” repeal was among “a whole host” of measures President Barack Obama believes can be accomplished before year’s end, but he put ratification of the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty at the top of that list after taxes.

“Fairly soon after [tax cuts], the Senate will move to the debate on START ratification,” Gibbs said. “This is a treaty that has the votes to pass the Senate and I believe will pass the Senate before we go home for the holidays.”

The Senate was expected to take a vote Monday on the tax deal struck between the president and Republicans.

Asked where the DREAM Act and DADT repeal stood on the president’s priority list of “achievable” measures, Gibbs declined to be specific."

“There’s not a list of 1, 2, 3, 4,” he said. “There’s are a series of things I think the president believes are important and can be done this year.”

“Well, I should say this — I think it’s a distinct possibility ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ will be repealed by the end of this year, and that’s where our efforts will be,” he said."

In a nutshell Republicans who vote for this are voting for two years of temporary release from a tax increase in exchange for massively increasing the Federal debt even though Republicans will have the numbers after the lame duck session to pass a much more favorable tax bill that Obama probably won’t have the balls to veto and if he does will damage himself and the Democrats politically whether the economy goes further south or not.

Clearly the rinos didn’t get the message that a continuation of the “temporary” tax “cuts” system with a looming draconian expiration date is unacceptable. Permanentizing the current rates might have had some stimulative effect. The kind of garbage they’re pulling now is going to do nothing but convince investors and lenders to stay in their bunkers, it is only the eye of the storm.
