Conservatives aligned with the Tea Party ramped up pressure Monday on Republicans to vote down the tax deal before Congress.
A Tea Party umbrella group circulated a petition in opposition to President Obama's tax deal with Republicans, while another high-profile GOP lawmaker aligned with the grassroots movement said he's inclined to vote against it.
"The idea that this massive tax and spend bill has not yet even been written but may be voted on by the Senate this weekend is appalling, and has rightfully drawn the anger of the TeaPartyPatriots.org and other Tea Party activists, an anger that will not diminish," said a petition crafted by the Tea Party Patriots.
That is the the most infuriating thing, they do!
Flapping our guns.
Don’t be discouraged. This is the same group we just voted out. The new guys aren’t there yet. Let’s see what happens. Meanwhile, fight these bastards. Another Christmas shot to hell.
In addition, the flow of tax money will stop by not funding the pork and all other socialist agenda that is in the original bill since the House has the power over appropriations and the distribution of our tax dollars.
LOL. I Love Free Republic. Like I said...
Yeppers, we’re out here. Waiting. Patiently.
WE ASKED FOR AN UP AND DOWN VOTE>>>>>>>> Yes!! on the tax bill to keep everything the same. No additional funding on ANYTHING!! We need names and faces and they need to be posted. If these clowns didn’t get what the election was about, then they need to know they are on the list to go down next if they voted for more than we asked for...a simple up or down vote. A lame duck congress is always the most dangerous, due exactly to what is happening today. Obama has exactly what he wanted, and WE THE PEOPLE are the ones who have the money he needs for it to work.
The majority of Republicans voted for it.
"Dear Sir,
Republicans voted for Conservatives last Novemebr because we want the government to stop spending our money. The tax bill in Congress is loaded with PORK and concessions.
Do not cave in to the Marxists. Do not vote for this bill as it stands.
The TeaParty is watching you, and we will vote you out of office too if you sign this bill as it stands.
Regards,"
Maybe you’re not familiar with the Tea Party.
Every man a rifleman.
The right answer is, no changes until the new congress arrives. No tax increases, and no budget increases, period.
Then, when the new congress arrives, they should and must take a meat axe to the budget. They must do nothing less than produce a truly balanced budget and let the chips fall where they fall.
“Try calling Boehners office to voice your opposition to this lard bill. The staffer I talked to was rude and couldnt hang up the telephone fast enough.”
McConnell and Boehner—snout in the trough, business as usual.
These guys have to go.

Agreeed... and so much more!
AMEN!! STOP THIS CRAP UBTIL THE NEW HOUSE IS SEATED!!
Every man a rifleman.
Yes, I'm familiar with that perspective but the idea that out of the tea party movement that leaders won't emerge is ludicrous.
My perspective of the tea party is that it allows for many new people to get involved and from the grassroots new leaders would show themselves. If no one showed leadership, there wouldn't be a single tea party event. Nor would there be all these new people willing to run for elective offices, etc. Leadership isn't a bad thing.
And so patronizing about the whole thing toward the Tea Party Patriots!!!
Fair enough.
Here is my experience.
In the upstate of SC we don’t need a tea party. Well we do but not like others do. There are so many people that would lead it that to have one become moot. This is good because the people that would lead it are those who would use it as a means to increase their business contacts or at least remake themselves into something they are not.
I do not know this but I suspect there are two kinds of people on the national level. Those who agree with us philosophically but are ineffective and those who do not agree with us but say they do. There may be some small fraction that are effective but I can’t tell who they are. Out with the entire lot of them, I say. If they were in Washington in 2007, they are part of the problem in some way, I think. I will not be led by them.
Of course, we need to be discerning of anyone who steps out to lead. After all, Hitler, Jim Jones and Charles Manson were leaders. But then again, this country wouldn’t have been founded without leaders like George Washington. The cold war wouldn’t have been won if Ronald Reagan hadn’t stepped out from an acting career to serve a higher purpose. I believe there are lots of diamonds in the rough waiting to rise to serve.
