Not only is it laden with pork, it doesn’t even hold the line on taxes because it allows a death tax INCREASE. So in essence the GOP is trading a tax increase for hundreds of billions in new spending.

Agree. The bill can be rewritten next month when we take control of the House. It might be a slight burden for those first pay checks but if they can reinstate Bush's original tax extension and add an amendment to restore it, retroactively, to the 1st of January this will be a real blow to Obama and the dems and RINOs if passed this year.
In addition, the flow of tax money will stop by not funding the pork and all other socialist agenda that is in the original bill since the House has the power over appropriations and the distribution of our tax dollars.
