Principled man. Indeed.
Imagine what a better deal we'll get on Jan 5. I'll wait and have things made retroactive. I think most people would - especially those who can do the most to help the economy improve [those with money to do something with.] jmho

He needs to be the leader of the Republican party. Not the guy who goes to strip joints.

Pence and DeMint seem to be among the few in congress that get it.
It is no longer the so called "compromise" , a bad deal that only temporarily extended existing tax rates for 2 years in exchange for a 13 month extension of the 99 week max unemployment payment and an increase in the estate tax.
THE DEAL HAS CHANGED!
It has become another stimulus with over 70 pork items added including ethanol subsidies.
Clinton said the deal would be worse for dems in January...so why are so called conservatives trying to help them get it done now?
Yes, tax rates would rise in January but then you simply make it retroactive (like clinton did with his tax INCREASE years ago) and put a check in the mail for extra that was withheld.

Principled man. Just following Palin's lead.
He'd make a good VP.
