that was FDR you are thinking about... No, it's most certainly Truman I'm thinking about. Truman was a New Dealer who ran in 1948 on a nationalized health insurance platform.

When Reid's bill passes, said Wong , "the young people of the DREAM Act movement will go on to accomplish and do great things. ... You will go on to become lawyers, teachers, doctors and members of the U.S. Congress to replace those old white men ... ."

What I don’t get is why black Americans are “OK” with third world illegals taking jobs that they could have.

No, I don’t consider Leftists Americans in any sense other than that is what’s on their passport.
They don’t buy into the creedal or philosophical basis for America. In fact, they’re often actively working to destroy America and all that made it what it was, just like the founder of their anti-human, anti-life belief system intended.

mho....The problem in America today is, Who Can Americans Trust? I do not have all the answers. Nobody does. What is disturbing is Americans are still disagreeing with each other, while the enemy is busy and in agreement, America has to go. So what can Americans do, and Who can Americans trust. I do not believe that question can be answered until Americans can trust each other. Americans may not ever be able to trust each other again. So What Will Happen? I do not want to think about it.

That's because you're a patriot and don't worship at the altar of "The Market". There are some of us who realize a nation needs more than just cheap Ipods to continue to exist.

Unpleasant troll factoid. Mt Rushmore was completed seven years prior to 1948.

The only point you’re making is that you’re not knowledgeable about 20th century American political history. Seriously, that’s it.

Because protesting against the government’s operation [regarding immigration enforcement] would be “biting the hand that feeds them” and they have been conditioned not to think about consequences of actions.

I prefer this point made during our Revolution. Hang together or Hang separately. If it will make you happy, I'll be quiet now...you may have the last word.

I suspect that’s what awaits me.
My father would undoubtedly try to convince me of my error by ‘lecturing’ me that a) I’m supposed to submit to corporal authorities, and b) his hope comes from God not man... which is [obviously] what my decision to use force or resist would be. *sigh*
But for some reason I think that [a] the current corporal authorities are illegitimate because they are not Constitutional [as in following the Constitution] and [b] what about ALL those battles in the Old Testament that God SPECIFICALLY TOLD them to do? By the logic presented even if God told them to they’re still “putting their faith in the sword” right?
