technologies that make possible measurements on thousands of genes or proteins at once and to computers that can track and analyze the movements, voting habits, or shopping preferences of millions of people, the network approach is bursting into full flower. A host of new insights are bound to lie just ahead.

Will we "receive the 'mark'" without which we cannot buy nor sell nor move?

At this point, I would gladly get back further into the country and live like my grandparents and others did at the time: Independent.

Provided for their own needs as to food, heat, lights, water, income. Never worked a day for anyone else. Comings and goings - not tracked. Likes, dislikes, habits - not tracked. What they bought or didn't - not tracked NOR dictated.
