This allows the “gays” to get right up in your face about their perversion. At the same time heterosexual harassment (or the perception thereof) gets one the boot. The military can’t survive the mixing of the sexes and the sexualization of the workplace like this. Wrong, wrong, wrong both morally and practically.

I completely agree with you on points 1 and 2. The Left is forcing the Country to submit.

Probably not. JimRob's statement (original post) that, "Homosexuals already have the same "rights" as everyone else. God did not grant and the constitution does not guarantee homosexuals any special rights." sounds like something that they would hate (just like they seem to hate everything else that they think they can raise a buck by protesting). There is a HUGE gap between pretending that two men can be married or that a man not wanting to share his barracks with a guy who checks him out in the shower is hateful and the Westboro Baptist spin on homosexuality that God Hates Fags, wants gay people to die, and kills Americans because we don't hate gays. FR seems to take a sensible stance on this issue, as with just about every other issue.
The fact that they are uninvited would be reason enough not to welcome them. I work with college students, and they have questions about homosexuality. I could say to them, you are not allowed to discuss homosexuality in my house, but how has that helped them? Would it not be better to explain and to discuss with them my views on homosexuality, and why I believe it is immoral? I know what I believe and why I believe it, but maybe some of those that read FR are not so certain about the issue. Perhaps FR should post a list of topics that are not allowed to be discussed as a courtesy to those that post, read, and support FR?

Zot what? The troops have been surveyed and the results are pretty clear - most don’t think this will have any effect (neutral). The SecDef and JCS have said they support repeal. So, can anyone tell me why it’s a surprise this was passed?

Right on with that! If you're game for a serious, organized FR effort, I volunteer to help. We could assign freeper volunteers to research/document their voting histories, Kristinn could write articles about each of them documenting the numerous ways they've betrayed conservatism (I can also write some articles.) We could then publish those articles near their primary elections and mail them to registered Republicans and Independents in their home states. I know Glenn Beck and Andrew Breitbart would allow us to publish the articles on their websites (The Blaze, BigGovernment) too.
I don't mind helping Jim collect the garbage around here. Looks like you fit the description. GTH. KMA.
