Almost daily viewers of Fox News, the authors said, were 31 points more likely to mistakenly believe that most economists have estimated the health care law will worsen the deficit; were 30 points more likely to believe that most scientists do not agree that climate change is occurring; and were 14 points more likely to believe that the stimulus legislation did not include any tax cuts.
They were also 13 points more likely to mistakenly believe the auto bailout only occurred under Obama; 12 points more likely to believe that when TARP came up for a vote most Republicans opposed it; and 31 points more likely to believe that it is not clear that Obama was born in the United States.

It really means nothing anymore what the NYT says. Most people now realize that the NYT is the Keith Olberman of print, and those that actually believe the Times are lost causes anyway.
Forget "the news".
Watch what they do, NOT WHAT THEY SAY!
Well I don’t watch Fox News, but I’m pretty sure most of those were facts, not mistaken beliefs.
Or straw men — of course climate is changing, which is what we usually call weather. And Mother Nature has repeatedly brought about much more drastic climate changes on her own than anything that could be wrought by man short of a global nuclear holocaust.
I'd sure like them to explain to me why that's not true. Because Obama himself has spent millions on attorneys to make damn sure that it remains "not clear."
This, coming from a treasonous rag, disqualifies it for fish wrap or bird cage liner.
A “study” by a bunch of commie libs is just another “study”. It shows what the misinformed commie libs want it to show and makes everyone who reads it also misinformed.
The only direct results we have seen so far are:
1) insurance companies cutting off coverage to the most at risk.
2) 222 companies and unions being granted waivers from the most onerous of the 80% provison.
So, tell me sir; How can you read the future of what will happen? This is a farce of a “report”
It’s the same University of Maryland study used as the basis for this article...

Basically, their version of “well informed” is people who accept government statistics as accurate.
Not to mention their readership plunge.

I take issue with that. I watch some sort of Fox news show daily and I think Obamacare will destroy our economy, not worsen it, “scientists” who fabricated the facts of Glow bull warming were bullshitting us COMPLETELY and should be jailed for fraud, and that TARP was a bait and switch perpetrated on the Bush administration and the American public by a swindling Fed and a duplicitous congress.
See? They were WAY underestimating me.
I thought this was going to be a story about Dan Rather.
More likely than what?
Thirty-one percent more likely than 12 percent of the population is 15.72 percent of the population as a whole - a measurable difference, true, but not a significant one.
But that’s my burden as a conservative - generally, I’m thinking things through, not responding to me feelings. *sigh* God, sometimes I really, really hate the left.
However, I just reread the article and it mentioned “points.” I need more coffee, I think. *double sigh*
DAMN you for providing that link...now, I will probably be incapable of thinking of anything else for the next several days...:(
Good reminder of what we are up against.
