A soldier who had both legs amputated after a June mortar attack in Afghanistan received a rousing welcome from friends and family Saturday in his hometown of Hawthorne.

Amen. Been to Hawthorne many times. Just up the road from me. Most of the bombs used in Afghanistan in the early days of the bombardment came from Hawthorne.

I know that you are trying to be funny, but Hawthorne isn't Harry Reid's Nevada. This is rural conservative Nevada. I know. The tragic irony is overwhelming.
I'm a Texan. If it wasn't for Houston, Austin, and Dallas, we'd make rural Nevada look like Stalinist Russia.
We (the conservative states of Real America) need to cut the cities loose.
