What's the point of the GOP??

For years now they are known as "The Party of BiPartisanship". Leader of that gang is Juan McAmnesty (my state) and Uber RINO Linsay Gramnesty.

April 7, 2008
Appearing on Fox News Sunday, the Arizona Republican didn’t take the opportunity to diss Obama when asked whether he thought his colleague from Illinois would be ready to handle the job if voters elected him.

10/10/08
McCain took the mic from a woman who called Obama an "Arab."
my note: Obama is only 6% black, 50% white, and you guessed it the rest is Arab.

October 10, 2008
McCain warns supporters, calls Obama decent man

I think we need to think about what is going on. The Dem’s
are passing bills that they want to cuz if the ‘pubs
go against them, the Dem’s will use that fact to tell the
voters in 2012 that the ‘pubs opposed these “so and so” bills.
Hopefully they thinnk , they will show the ‘pubs to be
just about a bunch of angry stupid unkind folk...
The pubs, should pass these bills, then when they’re in
power, wear the bills down of the most egregious errors in
them, and say , “yea, we passed the bills, but they have
to be corrected from the idiotic democratic version”..

Unfortunately, generally speaking, the American voting public is very ignorant
of many many issues especially when it comes down to
“housekeeping” kinda laws......

....”by giving the FDA the resources it needs to keep up with advances in food production and marketing, without unduly burdening farmers and food producers,” ....

in other words...farmers will get to keep the slave labor who use the fields as a toilet bowl and producers/processors can continue to pretend they aren’t aware that the majority of their employees are illegal aliens.

Wikipedia's summary of The Food Safety Modernization Act's scope, as passed by the House:

The HHS will require registration and payment of a fee by any "person (excluding farms and restaurants) who manufactures, processes, packs, distributes, receives, holds, or imports an article of food." Individuals who partake in food handling without official registration are subject to a maximum 10 year prison sentence. Registration requires each facility which produces or handles food to maintain records relating to food safety.

The bill contains an exception for food grown and consumed at private residences. As of the current writing, the bill does not contain an exception for small farmers if in the course of their operations they pack or distribute their produce. According to the text of the law all food sold at local farmers' markets, for example, would be subject to the certification requirements.

Bye, bye farmers' markets.

A friend sells fresh basil and kung pao peppers grown in her home garden to a few local restuarants. She might earn enough to cover her yearly garden expenses. So, the FEDs want to send her to prison for up to ten years?

I doubt even Kafka could imagine such an absurdity.

I became confused when I heard the word ” Service” used with these agencies:

Internal Revenue  ‘ Service ‘
U.S. Postal  ‘ Service ‘
Telephone ‘ Service ‘
Cable TV ’ Service ‘
Civil  ‘ Service ‘
State, City, County & Public ‘ Service ‘
Customer ‘ Service ‘
Agricultural Service
This is not what I thought Service “meant”.

But today, I overheard two farmers talking, and one of them said he had hired a bull to’ Service ‘ all his cows.
BAM!!!  It all came into focus.  Now I understand what all those agencies are doing to us.

An earlier version of this bill, the current bill apparently isn't yet available online, banned privately grown food products apparently along the same line of pretzel logic used to justify so many abuses of the commerce clause. So hey, let's look to NY, Paris, and LA to point us to the latest in peasant attire because that's where they're dragging us us. Grow for the State - not your selfish self.

Everybody's going serfing, serfing USA.

The GOP apparently haven’t been impressed by the political upheaval of the last two years and they are doing/voting for the same things that got them into trouble, like the 2008 Farm Bill. What a load of statist bull crap that was and this is far worse.

I propose a new party: the Liberty and Freedom Party.

It would be dedicated to Constitutional principles and free markets.

It would view unnecessary taxes and wealth distribution as an attack on liberty.

It would view regulations with the utmost suspicion as they are the vehicle for unnecessary interference in the private affairs of and increasing control of citizens.

It would view American soverienty as the a paramount concern, especially in matters of illegal immigration.

Lastly, it would view spending as something to be limited as taxes inevitably rise as a result, infringing on the liberty and choices of citizens.

I think a party guided by these principles is what America needs.

All you stupid whiners who are barking mad about the spineless GOP....are idiots. Do you understand that the Dems have a majority in the House and Senate until January?

You think you're mad now, just wait for the serious compromising that will go on in the next two years, in order for the House to slip stuff by the Dem Senate and vindictive DemPrez. Tough times ahead, I think.

This monstrosity is going to be one of the most dangerous bills passed in history. It has the most potential to show the tyranny that's been secretly building inside our government since the 1920s and I don't think the sheep are gonna be ready to respond, properly. I also think it's too soon for any viable response of any kind. That means we're all in for some very rough times. This is gonna be far worse than any climate legislation. Far worse than repeal of DADT. In short: It's going to be a nightmare.

How many FReepers are going to comment during the public comment period of this bill, I wonder.

If it's the usual, there won't be too many.... lots of whining, but no real action.

And yes, comments do work. I've gotten very fundamental changes made via comments.

IT'S TIME TO start a new party called the Tea Party and let the RINOS have the GOP!

In the 1850’s the Republican Party was started in Ripon, Wisconsin to stop Slavery!

In 2010 the Tea Party needs to start to stop Slavery!
This time in everybody's lives, we all have rings in our noses, being pulled by big government!
