Its someones luggage, if Al Queda wanted to bomb that airport they’d just hire one of the baggage handlers.

Authorities are reportedly investigating a suspected bomb at the American Airlines counter.

Inside a baggage room at the terminal, the TSA officers made their positive identification.
A bomb squad was en route to the scene.

TSA test results at Newark were that there was about a 10% chance that they’d find a real bomb — 90% went through undetected. The chances of a false alarm are probably about 99.9%.
Oh I agree they could attack at any time. I just down they’ll carry a suitcase into an airport and leave it unattended.
Many of these suspicious packages are primarily diversions so that the ‘great Satan’ runs around in circles spending time wasting energy to the point of exhaustion while the real attacks will come elsewhere.
My guess: Malls or oil refineries.
JMO.
I’ve laid awake at night thinking about that possibility.

I have a friend who works there with their BEAGLES sniffing for explosives and drugs. A well trained dog is better than any machine you can buy at detecting contraband.
