This is another topic regarding the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell that you haven’t found covered in the mainstream media – how does the repeal impact troop retention.

If I were serving on active duty and requested to attend some Military Ball and saw two gay guys dancing the night away in wild abandon —If I barfed all over their dress uniforms would I be charged with a Hate Crime?
Look for massive discharges of straight GI’s who express any negative views of this latest politically correct policy.

Kids today are growing up with gay issues being flaunted at them. Remember the movie, Brokeback Mountain?
Most people in Congress haven’t served and are living in a theoretical world.
I’m curious to see how young people in the military react to this.

I actually believe they want the draft back... for men and women. (politicians’s kids would be exempt, of course). Makes me think about Moochelle’s statement that the food bill was important for security to keep the young people thin in case of enlistment. Just a thought.

Secondly, young people are optimistic and believe they can handle the nonsense which will result from the degeneration of our society and its institutions. In the long run they can't, but they still believe they can. This optimism will keep people in the military.
Thirdly, a particularily obnoxious sodomite will not leave the base as he would not return. In WWII my Dad had an NCO that was afraid to leave the base and would move heaven and earth to keep away from duty on a ship. He was such an ass that he would simply have never returned. In short, an obnoxious fag will simply die or end up missing.
Heterosexual politicians that voted for repeal of DADT for any reason other than to seriously weaken the military forces are sadly out of touch and seriously misguided.
Real inefficiencies will arise in a few years after open homosexuals have risen in rank/rate perhaps starting at the level of Corporal. It is then that retention of heterosexual men is certain to plummet.
In many segments of the business world open male homosexuals typically bring to a supervisor-subordinate relationship a lifetime of “social difficulties” and generally are unable to effectively manage heterosexual men. Add to this, the fact that most heterosexual males who are confident in their sexuality resent being supervised by a homosexual who is not otherwise obviously very well qualified for the undertaking.
Move from the business world to the demanding environment of the military where there can be a constant higher level of stress – and where superiors are sometimes not very well qualified or skilled in the art of leadership – and the outcome is predictable.
I would say that in years past if you went into a recruiting office in drag they would throw you out.
Now they will make you officer material.
Oh yes, I believe there will be a draft also. I think, however, that all the gays pushing for this and supporting it didn’t think that far ahead. They want the right to join the military openly but I don’t believe the majority actually want to serve and *gasp* maybe be killed.
(MAJOR SARCASM ALERT!) We have it on good authority that the Boy Scouts are being pushed by Kevin Jennings to add this new and distinctive badge to the Scout program:

This can even apply to very liberal supervisors/managers ! They are all about themselves and they always talk about how society doesn’t benefit when you try to enjoy life like take vacation or enjoy the money you earn.
