ICYMI: Lame-Duck Session Churns Out Surprising Successes
Key point: "I think actually you could make the case that this is the most productive lame duck even without START," said Norm Ornstein, a congressional scholar at the American Enterprise Institute. "If you get food safety through and I think there's a pretty strong chance they'll get some version of the 9/11 bill through, so if you put that together with the tax agreement and "don't ask, don't tell", it's a smashing set of achievements, whether you like them or don't like them."

I was beyond angry when I read this article. No Republican can lay the blame for the obvious truth of these premises on the Democrats. My wrath is reserved for the turncoats in my party and the representatives we elected to stop this. Right out of the gate, they have failed us!
2010 was a rehearsal, 2012 will be the Opening Night..
Exactly right! It matters little if we have a majority in both houses if there are turncoats and traitors to the values of the Republican Party in the ranks. These people have no real values and stand for none. Their criteria is formed by how much prestige and favor they can garner from the Washington Machine with their vote. The will of the American people or their constituents have little or nothing to do with their actions. They forget, entirely, that they work for us, not the other way around.
Given that the START treaty requires a 2/3rds majority that isn't an excuse if it passes.
Wait until January 4th, 2011, then you can start raising the roof again.
I am sure the reason this exist is because of the communication and travel delays. It took time to notify winners, and more time to travel to DC to be seated.
I am not sure if these sessions are rules, or mandated by Constitution. In any case rules are not binding on new congress, unless they accept them.
I have it on good authority that Mushy Mitch is........silently outraged, so he will just reappoint the traitors to their committees.

If you did not notice, FR was in a “black hole” today because of an apparent Denial of Service Attack. I think we were hobbled today to prevent us from interferring with the Dems action on the hill.
I surely did notice and knew immediately what must be happening. All of us can begin to say goodbye to free speech on this forum unless we can find out who is doing this, how and what we can do about it.
Does anyone really think that “net neutrality” means what Washington tells us it does? The Obamanation has already made its bid to absolutely control the internet in an “emergency” situation perfectly legal(in some people’s eyes.) I’ve been losing links in my files to controversial articles and facts for months now. Something fishy is definatly afoot.
Guard up, folks! We might need to figure out what to do in case FR is put down permanently.
