The New START treaty has just passed the Senate, 71 to 26. The treaty needed 67 votes for ratification.

Lamar Alexander (Tenn.), Bob Bennett (Utah), Scott Brown (Mass.), Thad Cochran (Miss.), Susan Collins (Maine), Bob Corker (Tenn.), Judd Gregg (N.H.), Johnny Isakson (Georgia), Mike Johanns (Nebraska), Richard Lugar (Indiana), Lisa Murkowski (Alaska), Olympia Snowe (Maine), and George Voinovich (Ohio).

Last time I saw this much confidence Gays could not serve in the military, and the START treaty was dead.

Hunker Down is exactly what I’m talking about. Those who are saying “just wait until January when we take over”, or “wait till 2012” had better realize that they aren’t running, they are scheming and winning.
I recommend that these Senators comprise the list of those needing to be primaried in 2012 (if up for re-election). What good are they if they can’t even get THIS VOTE right?!?

An earlier poster said, wait till 2012. That can’t happen.
In the first week of November there was a Tsunami that swept Dems out in record numbers. Since then, either its Thanksgiving or Christmas or shopping, or football or New Years but the urgency has gone away and while we were distracted, they have racked up victory after victory. They have grabbed momentum.
The only thing that they failed to get that they wanted was Dream Act and if the GOP gets spooked rather then mad, they may get Dream in the next congress.
