I think it’s wrong to publicize a systematic analysis of security flaws of a sensitive place.

Even if his analysis is wrong, do we want insiders to reveal vulnerabilities to YouTube audiences?

With military systems and some locations, revealing exploitable vulnerabilities is a no-no. Usually Top Secret or more.

If he had real concerns, there are ways to address them without showing people how best to have a Sudden Jihad Moment, or even how best to steal luggage or smuggle cash or securities.

As for losing his CCW and flight deck gun, someone might have imagined that someone using a camera to document vulnerabilities and security flaws at an airport could be a security threat. If this were an ROP member who did the video, many would agree that it’s a threat- but there are other people who might case a location to help plan some unpleasant event.

ever notice when you’re whistle-blower nobody wants to listen about their incompetence. I have a feeling this guy tried to go through normal channels and got nowhere because the incompetent boobs he tried to warn would’ve been outed in the process...

YMMV

Finally a sensible comment. Even TSA can occasionally swerve into doing something right.

Terrorists already know the secruity flaws in an airport.

Even if going through channels is ignored? Even if the terrorists are smart enough to figure this out all by themselves?

I really hate what our society has become.

You do have a damned good point.

I’d lay money on the fact that the terrorists already know all our airport security flaws,.....

from their buddies who got jobs that take them into restricted areas, like maintenance, baggage handlers, and (of course) TSA agents.

Anyone traveling through an airport can figure out what he verified with little or no effort.

“I think it’s wrong to publicize a systematic analysis of security flaws of a sensitive place.”

Why? As far as I can see, every flaw he “exposed” is in a publicly accessible area. I saw similar things at the local airport when I flew to Colorado this past April.

If he was observing or reporting information that only he was aware of due to his position then you would be right...

However, his reporting was from the easily observable public side......

Not only is there a first amendment right to do this, there is a public good component......

If he had disclosed critical sensitive and secret information relative to the TSA operation then the status of “whistleblower” would be a difficult argument....

This pilot just pointed out the obvious from the public side that there have been numerous newspaper articles about yet TSA never fixes....

Don’t miss the point.

The gaps in security prove TSA is a joke.

How many hundreds of millions do we give to fund this joke? And how much real security is lost because time is wasted with the TSA?

Terrorism will not be stopped by the TSA—it will happen because of the TSA if they don’t get their act together. To save our country we need to replace this joke with old fashioned military intelligence and law enforcement. Intelligent law enforcement—the kind that profiles.

Step away from that bong!

Calm thyself!

Now - ask your very little mind if there might possibly be awareness of those aircraft service persons amongst the Moslims wanting to kill Americans? They also go to the airport, just like real human beings, remember?

What the pilot put on the Internet is common knowledge - not arcane, Top Secret stuff.

That the Gummament Goons could search his home, take his CCW and Flight Deck Officer weapons permits is right out of the Third Reich.

That’s “Third Reich” - for your enlightenment, I suggest you Google it.
