WASHINGTON (AP) - The Kennedys have held congressional seats, the presidency and the public's imagination for more than 60 years.

That era ends when Patrick Kennedy of Rhode Island vacates his U.S. House seat next month, leaving a City Council post in California as Camelot's sole remaining political holding.

Like a cancer, the actions of Kennedy family remain, scarring the Nation for eternity. We must be vigilant to prevent it’s return!

Camelot. Who came up with that crap in the first place? Nothing but garbage.

Let's not forget that the widder Kennedy (Vicki Reggie) is lurking in the background. She's considered by many to be the leading contender for the next promising open senatorial seat in the Peoples' Republic of Massachusetts.

She's been resting up after the long ordeal of managing Teddy's profligacy, his declining health....and most important of all, his "legacy".

That's a full-time job in itself....one cannot let a carefully contrived and cultivated mythological legacy go to waste when we're talking about the Kennedys.

...And Andrew Cuomo, married to a Kennedy,...

Nope. Not since 2005. She was cheating on him.

Not that I feel bad for him. They probably deserved each other.

I don’t know, Ezekiel. I simply don’t know. All I can guess is that this is the real Scott Brown, and he deceived people in order to leverage the Tea Party movement and engage conservatives.

I think I was deceived because I wanted to be, and didn’t see any alternative. I wanted to believe this state’s electorate could change in some way.

Wasn’t aware that Cuomo had divorced Kerry Kennedy due to her infidelity. To think she wrote a book on being Catholic. Kennedy and fidelity don’t seem to mix.

No I think he was saying that old Joe was initially in organized crime, saw what a short two-step it was to launch into legitimized politics for himself and all who followed, and started the process of building the mystique of consolidating the project of generations of Kennedys ubiquitously appearing everywhere and being given great attention by the entire MSM whenever and wherever they open their yaps./

This is a wonderful event. The final closing chapter with no Kennedy beyond the brothers able to survive in the political world; able to gather votes to sustain the dynasty. Woohoo!

I would like to gloat and say “America is a safer place.” However, there is no shortage of pond scum as bad or worse than the Kennedys to fill political offices.

Good riddance. America does not recognize “royalty” and dynasties are prone to corruption.

No government office is owned by birthright.

The Kennedy’s haven’t a spawn left that isn’t a moron or a drug addled idiot.

From sleeveless to sleeveless in 3 generations.

Ted Kennedy sought to impose inheritance taxes on the other Americans' estates.
