Way to forget that you live north of the Mason-Dixon Line, Massholes.
People in the NE are such winter drama queens.
This "state of emergency" is a crock. There's no emergency here! It's just the governor extending the holiday weekend for his cronies. Had this same storm happened on a Wednesday in a regular workweek, it would have been business as usual the next morning.
> People in the NE are such winter drama queens.
Not all of us are.
In a real blizzard, the roads and highways clog up with cars that get stuck. Going uphill, even with snowtires, without 4WD, in 6” or more of snow is near impossible. Add to that white-out conditions where you can’t even see where you’re going. A lot of people pull over, if they can, and walk to the nearest house or store to wait it out. Their cars will be towed to make room for the plows. Roads and highways will be shut for days. Much of the area will experience power outages.
For metrosexuals living in the city and suburbs, this is high drama.
For rural, somewhat self-sufficient types,a real blizzard is an awesome and beautiful display of God’s expression in nature followed by some work to dig out and a few days of peace and quiet.
After Katrina and the oil spill, you below the Mason Dixon Line have ABSOLUTELY nothing to say about drama.
No! It is the politicians who are the drama queens. The people are just (mostly) stupid.
