Obviously we don’t have state/local income taxes here. But property taxes and homeowners’ insurance are high here. I pay upwards of 6k and 2k a year, respectively.

Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter types are welcome. And fellow FReepers are always welcome.

I know you said "types", but Limbaugh and Coulter already relocated to income-tax free Florida.

I pay there here... on top of NY state tax AND 8.5% sales tax

I fugyre at least half my income goes to taxes and insurance

I pay about the same in property taxes but insurance is about half that much. New York has a state income tax that for me would be 7.375% of $400,000 or $29,500 per year. Oh yeah, I am loading the U-Haul right now.
