Sad and disgusting when babies become a lifestyle prop like a lapdog or a pair of oversized sunglasses.
The first thng any real parent — any parent worthy of the term — learns is sacrifice. I’m always bothered by people who determinedly pursue the effort to acquire children by any means. It seems like it’s all about that person’s desires, instead of the child’s welfare and that persons willingness to sacrifice himself for the sake of parenting. I know biological and social factors can stimulate desire, and I don’t think thats entirely unhealthy; only that it might be the tip of an iceberg of self-service. Fuhgawdsakes the world doesn’t need any more self-serving parents. And then of course is the whole issue of raising a child in a warped and dangerous environment.
Very, very sad.
