Man shot in head at White Castle on South Side

An 18-year-old man was shot in the head this morning at a White Castle restaurant in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The shooting happened about 12:30 a.m. on the 6600 block of South Halsted Street, said Police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer.

Preliminary reports said the man was inside the restaurant when someone opened the door and shot him in the head. The man was taken in serious condition to Stroger Hospital, Greer said.
