Mayor Bloomberg will order a probe into allegations that Sanitation Department told drivers to snarl the cleanup effort to protest budget cuts, saying this morning it "would be an outrage" if workers intentionally did not clear streets.

When I first heard the charges I dismissed them.
When I heard people died, I looked and saw the video of plows parked at 9am with the driver sleeping in the cab.
I can’t come up with another explanation other than they ran out of gas, but they had the engine running with the heat.
He'll have to be dragged kicking and screaming to admit this.
I wonder if they can sue the city.
The mayor, the DA’s and the unions are trying to make this all go away. The fix is in. And the District Attorneys are in on it.

Bloomie must be slipping - if there was any sabatoge involved in the snow removal process, I thought sure he’d blame it on “those upset about health care reform” or some such thing.
I went to DU and read a thread on this subject. They were all excoriating the OP for furthering “right wing talking points”. Then a 1000+ posts DUer shut them all up. He said Jay Leno had played a clip of a snowplow that went down street after street, crashing into every single parked car on every one. People were screaming at the driver, but he just kept it up, block after block after block. No DUer said a word after that.
