the father who has vowed to die broke and gives away his money. Tons of it.

I saw this guy interviewed and have read of his accomplishments, he's truly a remarkable individual. He got the inspiration to build the cancer center from his and his wife's personal battles with cancer.......

The son has benefitted a great deal from the reputation of the father. Mr. Huntsman Sr. is truly a revered figure in Utah and is as good as advertised. If Jr. entered the 2012 race, he’d be the biggest RINO right along with Romney. Yes, this is a “good government” state. But it was before he got into office, and it continues to be since he’s been gone. That is more a reflection of this state, which does not tolerate corruption and money wasting.

Huntsman makes Bob Bennett look like Ronald Reagan, and we just kicked Bennett out of office. And Hatch is looking over his shoulder.

...The moderate Republican had once been considered a rising star in the GOP and a likely 2012 contender, with David Plouffe, Barack Obama's campaign mastermind, even identifying Huntsman as the only Republican who made him "a wee bit queasy" about the next race. But speculation ended abruptly in 2009 when Obama tapped Huntsman for the ambassadorship. National pundits called the appointment a shrewd move by the White House to sideline a potential rival...
...but not as shrewd as getting this piece penned by a partisan media shill. Thanks Hawk720.

I play lots of senior softball now and the talk of all the guys I play with is the Huntsman Senior Games Softball tournament held each fall out in St. George.....Evidently there is no finer tournament in the entire country. Hospitality is wonderful, field conditions are impeccable, etc, etc......

Some of the guys I know have been flying out there for the tournament from here in Michigan for many years.

What a coincidence...that's about the percentage of mormons in the US.

I perused an issue over the summer in a hospital waiting room, and I swear, comic books are now thicker and of higher printing quality. Seriously...

I have to say, if he comes out against open borders/Amnesty and makes clear a pro-life belief, this man has expereince running a state, which is a heck of a lot more than barry the bastard had, and this man’s family is a pretty good pedigree, with integrity at its heart. I would vote for him ... if I don’t have to choose over Sarah.

I wouldn't vote for him. First of all I wouldn't vote for someone who has made this vow more than once in the mormon temple:

You and each of you covenant and promise before God, angels, and these witnesses at this altar, that you do accept the Law of Consecration as contained in the Doctrine and Covenants, in that you do consecrate yourselves, your time, talents, and everything with which the Lord has blessed you, or with which he may bless you, to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, for the building up of the Kingdom of God on the earth and for the establishment of Zion

Secondly, a mormon POTUS would copy Obama in loading the government up with co-religionists. I've been there, done that and have the tee shirt on living under mormon rules.

“have no desire to look him up.”

Wikipedia is always a good quick way to start.

I don’t care if he’s Mormon - do you? Fluent in Chinese - a bad thing? This country cannot afford another 4 yr of BHO or the dems under any circumstances. Candidates don’t have to mirror my every belief to get my vote. Demand a full loaf - even if we could agree what/who that might be - and the loaf we get is BHO.

The dems get very personal - we are stupid, evil etc. They might have a demonization problem here as he was BHO’s choice and confirmed by a dems Senate.

“I’m not sure RINO is the right term for these guys. They are actual Republicans, but it’s the party’s long-standing governing philosophy of maintaining the status quo at all costs that is the problem.”

I could not agree more. The very term ‘RINO’ is misleading. The problem is inherent within the institution. People like Reagan and Goldwater were anomalies within the GOP establishment, and bitterly resented by it.

Conservatives and newly awakened Tea Party people will see just how stubborn, ruthless, underhanded and effective the GOP can be in the next 18 months, as its principal goal emerges of co-opting, neutralizing or destroying conservative resurgence and restoration efforts.
