When Omaha Cox Communications replaced “Discovery Health” with the POS Oprah Bitch’s Channel on Jan 1 I immediately put that “Channel” on my “skipped” list.
Even when she "gave away" all those cars on her program, the cars were provided by the manufacturer--not out of her pocket. Why do people keep falling for this crap?
Oprah is a business woman. If she can get people to sign up, good for her. In my opinion though, I think that she is leaving a void that could be exploited by some other talk show queen that doesn’t charge.
I agree that too many people don’t utilize their channel list editing feature properly but I found Discovery ‘Health’ was less about health and more about gawking at persons with horrible, if rare, afflictions.
I heard she’s on the cover of Oprah magazine this month. /s

I laughed at so many people reading what Oprah endorsed. If they liked the topic of the book then fine but it was the usual “Oprah likes it so it MUST be good”. Typical sheep.

Same here on Comcast. Oprah took the Discovery Health slot. Maybe Discovery Health with popup in another slot and was not canceled
Sweet. One thing that many had to cut back on since Oprah’s boy, as she called him, was elected and began fundamentally transforming America was premium cable.

The cable companies are racist because Oprah isn’t free.
Seriously though, does she charge the cable companies more than the average? And I bet the first satellite cable provider to have free Oprah will get a lot of brand new subscribes.
Excellent Bible reference. I had not thought of that passage in terms some of the idiocy on daytime TV but it really applies very well.
Her network ratings were in decline, so she started her own network to soften the blow of the inevitable.
Just before her show hits the floor, she’ll announce her retirement and what’s left of her ignorant fan base will weep for her.
Maybe it’s time for 0bamaCable™ — you know, take over the cable and satellite industry and redistribute the upper tier packages.
Bingo, was at the cable company this past friday when in comes this woman who was at least 100lbs overweight and her question for the counter person was: Will I be getting the Oprah station and what channel will it be on? Comcast lady was quick to point out it will be on some number and will replace something that I watch, some health channel. My wife grabbed me and said DO NOT SAY ANYTHING, we don’t need a riot here.
