Gov. Deval Patrick said yesterday that he still hasnt watched the parole hearing of felon turned cop killer Dominic Cinelli or reviewed the cons lengthy criminal record even as House Speaker Robert DeLeo joined the outcry over Cinellis controversial release.
No, no, said Patrick when asked if hed examined the video of the six-member parole board interviewing Cinelli, who was serving three concurrent life sentences. The then six-member board chaired by the governors former campaign driver Mark Conrad included two other Patrick appointees who voted unanimously to spring Cinelli shortly after the 2008 hearing.
The career criminal allegedly gunned down veteran Woburn cop John Jack Maguire during an attempted Dec. 26 jewelry heist at Kohls.

DeLeo said hes exploring a bill that would limit parole to criminals with only one life sentence...
Sounds like a line you'd hear in an old Firesign Theater skit, or Monty Python.

The people of Massachusetts elected Patrick. They are getting exactly what they asked for. They do not deserve to have police officers protecting them. They should try going it alone against the criminals for a while and see how it goes.

The majority of voters voted against Patrick. Their votes were split among the Republican and independent candidates. Can those voters receive protection?
We know where the democrats live in this state and can cut those police officers.
... Cinelli who had several convictions for robbery, escaping prison and shooting a security guard, as well as two prison escapes on his record.
There's the reason for the release. They didn't want to be embarrassed by any more escapes. Turn him loose and he can't escape.
