(CBS/AP) LABARRE, La. - State biologists are trying to determine what killed an estimated 500 birds that littered a quarter-mile stretch of highway in Pointe Coupee Parish.

The birds included red-winged blackbirds and starlings.

The birds were found Monday along Louisiana Highway 1, about 300 miles south of Beebe, Ark., where more than 3,000 blackbirds fell from the sky three days earlier.

EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson flew to Arkansas this morning. As she exited the aircraft, she looked into the air and said, “Now where are these dead birds?”

Tonight’s low in Beebe, AR is going to be 37F. You think the cold wx may be having something to do with it?

http://www.weather.com/weather/today/USAR0039

Ironic, that it may be the cold wx that’s killing the birds, not global warming.

Mass La. bird deaths puzzle investigators

Necropsies performed Monday on the birds in Arkansas showed the birds suffered internal injuries that formed blood clots leading to their deaths, The Associated Press reported. ....

USGS spokesman Paul Slota said Monday afternoon he was unaware of the mass deaths in Louisiana, but he expects bird samples taken from the Arkansas occurrence on New Year’s Eve to arrive Tuesday in Wisconsin.

Slota also declined to speculate on a cause for the deaths, but he said a search of USGS records shows there have been 16 events in the past 30 years involving blackbirds where at least 1,000 of the birds have died seemingly all at once.

End snip

Obviously you are a shill for the corporate industrial military right wing conspiracy complex. If it wasn't a government weapons test, biological, chemtrails, harp, nuclear propulsion driven radar (and birdar) evading weapons test this is obviously the result of manmade global warming.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out. Birds can't breath CO2, and our destructive CO2 emissions probably either focused on those birds (with the help of a new government weapon) or through global warming, caused the temperature to drop enough that they freaked out.

Regarless, this highly unusual occurance which has occurred 16 time in the past 30 years is obviously either a sign of global warming catasrophe or a government conspiracy. Really doesn't matter which...

The red-winged blackbirds arrive in Minnesota in the spring when temps can get much colder than 37. They are fairly hearty birds. I don’t think it’s the cold.
