ABC News: Michele Bachmann considering presidential bid

ABC News says U.S. Rep. Michelle Bachmann is considering running for president and will confer this month with GOP officials in Iowa about her prospects in that early caucus state.

Citing an unnamed "source close to the three-term congresswoman," the network said in a report Wednesday that Bachmann will hold "multiple meetings to seek advice from political forces there and party elders close to the caucus process before coming to a final decision regarding a potential presidential run."

Bachmann, a Republican who represents Minnesota's Sixth Congressional District, has roots in Iowa, having been born in Waterloo, Iowa.

Bachmann also is the headliner at an Iowans for Tax Relief PAC fundraiser Jan. 21 in Des Moines, ABC noted.

Her trip to Iowa will be her third in eight months. Last week, she attended a GOP fundraiser in Michigan.

Asked about Bachmann's presidential intentions, her chief of staff, Andy Parrish, told ABC News: "Nothing is off the table. The congresswoman is excited about her first trip to Iowa this year."

“I can’t see an easy way for Michelle to counter this problem if it’s brought up by the left wing media.”

I do.

“I’m post-menopausal.” Moot.

Or at worst, “I’ve been neutered” or “I’m on the Pill”.

LOL the MSM would not dare bring up that Bachmann is a woman whine whine whine like the anti-woman POTUS poster is doing in this thread.

Bachmann is breaking the glass down baby. They cannot call Bachmann dumb or underqualed because she is a WOMAN.

They cannot say she was not a gov. (SEE PALIN) Obama has lowered the bar. He is underqualed-PERIOD. The only alinsky tactic of FREEZE and attack they have is that she is batshit crazy and Matthews says she is in a trance. LMAO how pathetic.

Sun tan man thing on the new speaker was refuted by ONE of his brothers they showed a picture of a naturally brown boy to the good morning liberal show; yet they are still calling him crybaby tan man. Are they all 12 years old? It will not work.
The MSM cannot Alinskyize anyone else (like Palin and Bush) it is old and not working so they act 12 years old.

Matthews even admitted last night (WATCH YOUR ENEMY ONE NIGHT FOR ME) that Jeb Bush is SMART and a contender in 16 because the Bush name is cleared up....

They’re bothering Boehner over his “tan”?

Geesh - what would they think of my dad? He has black hair to boot - the man is naturally dark all over. He is about medium shade, definitely darker than Boehner. I was born naturally a bit dark, too - but I’ve faded over time to be like mom. I will say we looked naturally tan (and we’d tan before burning red) - no white streaks - but it’s the ancestry. Not every European was perfectly light. My dad is German, probably of distant slavic origin, with the throw-back coming through (none of his parents or many siblings are dark as he).

To: worst-case scenario

” Maybe the discussion of the issue will help men realize that the possibility is both more remote, and less scary, than they fear.

Do we forbid men of a certain cholesterol reading from serving, because they *might* have a heart attack under stress? “

You may be right but don’t forget women may have as strong or stronger feelings on this than men. (as in they may feel that a pregnant woman is not capable of safely going thru pregnancy while under the pressure of the presidency. )

My point here is we don’t really know how the majority of voters will feel about this issue as it’s NEVER been vetted with the people. I think many on the conservative side feel the idea of a female presidency has been vetted and will be accepted by the American people, when in reality this question has not been answered. Hillary never even got the nomination and she was a Dem so the issues such as the strength of a female as commander of the armed forces or possible pregnancy etc. etc. were never brought up. They WILL be brought up by the left wing media if the Republican nonminee is a female. Couple that with the fact that we don’t really know how the American people feel about a woman as president and you are left with a very big risk of a loss to BHO on gender alone.

I could see the voters putting Republican’s in charge of the Senate and the House but keeping BHO as the commander in chief simply because he is a man and they are not comfortable with a woman in that position. They won’t say it in a poll or publicly but they may well vote that way in the booth.

IMO, if we as conservatives think we already know that the American people are comfortable with a woman as president we/you are kidding yourselves. We DON’T know that answer to that question. A female Gov or CEO is proof of nothing, as they are not military commanders in charge of a nuclear arsenal. 2012 is not the time to find out the voters are not ready to put a woman in charge of our military no matter what her party affiliation.

” Why don’t you go to google and search mysogyny. “

And what does that have to do with anything that I’ve posted?

Sorry you don’t agree with thousands of years of human history but facts are facts.

I have nothing against Palin or Bachmann, in fact I like what both have done and continue to do. Whether either could be elected president of the United States is a whole other matter.
