Ted Nugent 'Loves' Sarah Palin, But Wouldn't Vote for Her for President (VIDEO)

Appearing on 'Anderson Cooper 360' (weekdays, 10 PM ET on CNN) rocker, hunter and outspoken Tea Party supporter Ted Nugent heaped praise upon Sarah Palin, but also said she hasn't yet convinced him she has what it takes to be president.

"(Palin's) coming from the street, she's coming from the we-the-people rank-and-file, she makes sense when she talks, she says all the right things, she's sincere, she's knowledgeable , she's articulate, she's damn good-looking, plus she kills moose, how can you go wrong?" Nugent gushed.

However, when Cooper pressed Nugent on whether Palin would make a good president, Nugent balked.

"It's too early to tell. Right know, if we had a vote, I couldn't vote for Sarah Palin. And I love her. I love her madly, and I respect her."

When somebody as naturally sympathetic to Palin as The Nuge doesn't believe he can vote for her, maybe it's time we stop talking about the former half-governor of Alaska as a viable presidential candidate.

Are you aware of Christie's history on abortion, the Second Amendment and illegal immigration?

Christie is pro-life and cut off funding for PP in NJ.

Most likely who is nominated is a small issue. The issue will be the economy, and possibly other macro issues.

I love Ted Nugent, but I couldn’t vote for him if he ran for any office right now.

Why so touchy. I saw the article I posted it. It has nothing to do with liking/not liking Palin. What I don't like is people here who worship her like some messiah, the same way Obama's sycophants did with him 2 years ago.

Of course if Nugent had said 'hell yeah, Sarah's the only one I would vote for' that wouldn't really be news but at the same time the Palin Zombies wouldn't be saying 'who cares what entertainers think'...

Don't know how we get Romney NOT to run, but he is just bad, bad, bad. And he'll never beat Obama. RomneyCare will haunt him forever. Plus the fact he's flipped on many issues and no one knows how sincere he is.

MessNBC keeps bringing up Jon Huntsman as 'one to watch', but they're just obsessed with RINOs. No way in hell he'd win the GOP nomination either.

Hmmm, it’s called an opinion, is he not allowed one....or if we don’t group think we’re out of the club?

Nugent isn't yet convinced, that's fair enough. Lots of people aren't convinced but they will be when the campaigns begin.

Why should he dodge questions? He has an opinion and he’s entitled to it.

Well put Mr. Nugent, I agree with you 100%. I think she is a fine conservative, but I am not convinced she is our best hope for 2012. I know it isn’t Romney, Huckabee, or other RINO’s though.

Of course we all are entitled to our opinion, but the last sentence of the artcle was ridiculous.....i.e...because the great Nuge doesn’t think Sarah is quite ready to be prez, we should all just drop her as a viable candidate....LOL!

I like the way you deliberately misinterpret his post, and, at the same time, what Nugent said.

Did Ted say he was in charge? Or are you incapable of accepting an author's meaning without injecting your own misinterpretation? Just asking.

To 107 - Who required you to be swayed by Nugent’s opinion? How damn idiotic and juvenile can you people possibly be?? Here’s a newsflash for you: People have their own opinions. If these opinions aren’t in alignment with yours too fecking bad. Stop whinging and grow up.

No I don’t worship political figures, I worship God and embrace founding principles.

You are the hypocrite, you posted an opinion of a celebrity who came up with no substitutive disagreement and mischaracterized his comments with your headline.

Just like all the ex Bush’s who have been attacking her with non issues.

What issue did he disagree with her on? None

I want debate on issues.

Why are you so afraid of that, seems like you want this to be about one liners and irrelevant comments based on no substance?

Sounds to me you want this election to be a rerun of 2008.

You my friend are the one who is encouraging discounting good candidates without having a debate.

I support people who honor the constitution, she is one of them.

I see that you posted a re tweet and then made a grand assumption on an issue that she never commented on. I call that spin and propaganda.

So yes, you have an agenda which is not grounded in the best interest of this country and I will continue to call people like you out.

You fear truth , debate and for America to find the most principled constitutionalist that is needed to turn the tide of tyranny.

This tabloid garbage is a distraction not because its attacks Sarah Palin but because it steers people away from issues.

What next a video from P Diddy or Matt Damon?

I don’t think Ted portrays himself as a King/Queen maker, so yes, I do think the gist of the article is stupid.

I do have a problem with the constant bickering about Sarah Palin. I think she is great, I even like her better after watching her show. We all have our wants, I personally want someone who will clamp down on our foreign policy, especially with the looming threat of Muslims. That is why I would prefer someone with military experience that knows what we are up against.

You seem to be disdainful of a number of a number of people on this site and Conservatism in general, is that a correct assumption?
