Ted Nugent 'Loves' Sarah Palin, But Wouldn't Vote for Her for President (VIDEO)

Appearing on 'Anderson Cooper 360' (weekdays, 10 PM ET on CNN) rocker, hunter and outspoken Tea Party supporter Ted Nugent heaped praise upon Sarah Palin, but also said she hasn't yet convinced him she has what it takes to be president.

"(Palin's) coming from the street, she's coming from the we-the-people rank-and-file, she makes sense when she talks, she says all the right things, she's sincere, she's knowledgeable , she's articulate, she's damn good-looking, plus she kills moose, how can you go wrong?" Nugent gushed.

However, when Cooper pressed Nugent on whether Palin would make a good president, Nugent balked.

"It's too early to tell. Right know, if we had a vote, I couldn't vote for Sarah Palin. And I love her. I love her madly, and I respect her."

When somebody as naturally sympathetic to Palin as The Nuge doesn't believe he can vote for her, maybe it's time we stop talking about the former half-governor of Alaska as a viable presidential candidate.

Nugent isn’t yet convinced, that’s fair enough. Lots of people aren’t convinced but they will be when the campaigns begin.

I didn’t say that, updriver did. Although, yes I believe she has changed the minds of lots of people. And now that she is standing on her own two feet with a national microphone she has a better chance to convince even more folks.

I’m just saying, “don’t count her out of it” Look at the negative direction Mitt’s going in the same amount of time.

Why in the world would I care what Ted Nugent or any other so called entertainer says about anything? Nugent likes to grab the headlines and hear himself talk, probably because he knows his music sucks and he’s insecure. Besides Nugent, Wayne La Pierre, Chris Cox and the rest of the NRA board will be campaigning for Dingy Harry.

Thats it dude...

She is a promoter of the America that we need and want. She would be a great rNC (little ‘r’) chairperson.
She doesn’t want to be President. This I believe to be true.

Ted doesn’t want to be anything either ( politically ). Ted is just fine being Ted.

Ted just wants to be able to kill edible, protien rich, lean, elegant, Kiowa kosher, chemical free, awesome, grass fed, mighty fine, kickass, free range meat with a stick and string ( as do I... )...

YeeHaaww! Thanks to the Lord.... Thankyou very Much, Creator of us all....

I wasn’t aware Ted was claiming he was in charge of who the nominee was. He was asked a question and gave an answer you don’t like. It’s his right you know...

He’d vote for her to be President. He’s balking at voting for her in the primary, as am I. I want someone who will win the general election and not just the primary. She has a year to prove she can move Independents and conservative Democrats into her column and I’ll re-consider. Otherwise we need an alternative fast because right now Huckabee looks like the frontrunner to me.

We’ll see. I agree with Ted in that she needs to step it up. But she’s hasn’t declared as a candidate yet either, so let’s not get too carried away with things.

Besides there may be somebody else who decides to get into the race that could be better. Again...we shall see.

My hope is there's a large draft Christie movement and he changes his mind. A debate between him and Obama.

Are you aware of Christie's history on abortion, the Second Amendment and illegal immigration?

Wasn't he a Castle, Whitman and mosque supporter?

My support is with Sarah right now. I have to be really convinced that someone else is better.

Sarah was a one woman opposition, when it was inconvenient and costly to be in opposition to the dem leadership. Doing so, she was on the receiving end of vicious hatred and attacks from the left (including the RINOS). Her highlighting of the "death panels" was a master stroke. Who else did anything comparable to that??!! She fired up conservatives when they were defeated and discouraged.

All the johnnie-come-lately's, spouting conservatism now that it is safe, can kiss my brown a$$. Sarah is my gal.

I want a candidate that is going to tell these banks: “If you’re too big to fail, you’re too big to exist. Period.”

AY-MEN TO THAT! I want a candidate that shares my tagline....

If she gets the nomination, I’ll absolutely vote for her, and with enthusiasm at that. My concern is with the nomination process at this point. I believe we could do better. However, I have no idea who that could be at this point. Pence seems to be pretty good, but I don’t know much about him.

I don’t trust any Republican who has been in an elected federal or state office more than 4 years unless they have a proven track record of unwavering conservatism.

correct

There have been only three during F.R.s existence.

I got to tell you. I am losing all hope for the future of this country. It is a very painfull thing. But we reject people like Palin who want to help and lead.

I am ashamed to be an American these days.

I was channel surfing and saw Ted debate Rosanne “the Hag” Barr on this same program. He had “the Hag” going ballistic; countering all of her assinine statements with common sense responses. She was going ballistic trying to put him in his place and NOTHING stuck. IT WAS GREAT!!!!

I usually have to change channels when mamby/pamby conservatives let liberals make assinine statements and not call them on it.

Ted is the most articulate, straight talking conservative debater I have ever seen. I would love to see him do the same fantastic job on the national stage. How about a Bachman/Nugent ticket? Ted could actaully drive the liberals crazy enough to pack up and move to Canada. I could even see him creating a PAC to raise the funds for the U-Hauls.

but..We don’t have the guts to save our country. We reject sending good people like Palin to Washington D.C.. Can a normal person with good values ever be elected President.

I am ashamed of Republicans who are just throwing her under the bus like this.

to hell with all
