The Arizona sheriff investigating the Tucson shooting that left U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords critically wounded had harsh words today for those engaging in political rhetoric, calling conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh "irresponsible" for continuing the vitriol.
"The kind of rhetoric that flows from people like Rush Limbaugh, in my judgment he is irresponsible, uses partial information, sometimes wrong information," Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik said today. "[Limbaugh] attacks people, angers them against government, angers them against elected officials and that kind of behavior in my opinion is not without consequences."
Limbaugh today railed against the media and Dupnik for trying to draw a link between the heated political climate and the shooting rampage, calling the sheriff a "fool." But Dupnik stood by his assertions.
"The vitriol affects the [unstable] personality that we are talking about," he said. "You can say, 'Oh no, it doesn't,' but my opinion is that it does."

This guy is in deep doo doo and he knows it! Deflect, deflect, lie, lie, misdirect, he is a classic lefty hack. He already admitted on the air that the shooter had made threats. He did nothing to address it. The blood is on his hands and his knows it.
Because in his mind, he’d rather make those interviews about HIMSELF rather than focus on the facts and the victims rather than do what he’s paid to do by the taxpayers. What kind of justice deals with opinion rather than facts?
He went on the Olberman show? Seriously?? There is no greater sign of wanting to politicize this tragedy than that. His opponents really should use that against him when he comes up for reelection.
So Rush’s talk is incendiary but 0bama’s is not? Nor is anything coming from the left? What a moron. When I read the comments about a federal “commission on civility” I almost had a stroke. With this crowd in power now who knows what they would allow us to say or not say. Unreal.
How does a man eviscerated as badly as Limbaugh eviscerated Dupnik have the gall to get up and defend himself? Dupnik’s clearly working way “above his pay grade”.
It’s stunning how Leftists see everything through the same two-dimensional, black-and-white filter—and how they are determined to force everyone else to view everything in the same, simplistic, limited, and untruthful way.
