I’m sure you’re not suggesting that school officials should have to power to take action against people who are standoffish in their neighborhood.
The schools had Jared for years, and law enforcement had contact with him, too. It’s not as if he emerged from his parents’ house after 22 years and started shooting. Even Rep. Giffords already knew he was after her.
I couldn’t stand these meetings and always made the wife go. I simply could not accept 20-somethings who were educated by American colleges (Schools of Education, specifically) passing judgment on my kids. I’m perfectly capable of assessing my kids and understanding their weaknesses. I would trust a homeless person ahead of these clowns. In any case, it appears that my kids did just fine with my wife going there and ignoring all of their garbage.

Like hell. The people who have the ‘final say’ in how schools are run are the people that pay the teachers, and that is NOT the parents (at least at public schools). It is the legislatures, school boards, and the federal Department of Education. Parents a necessary annoyance as far as the schools are concerned and should just learn to shut up.
