More than a dozen students have been suspended as officials investigate a stabbing incident following dismissal Friday from Coconut Creek High School.
The stabbing took place outside the school just after classes let out. The victim, described by the Broward School District as an 18-year-old senior, was stabbed by two schoolmates, one wielding a pair of scissors and the other a pen, according to Coconut Creek Police. Other students either participated in the fighting or egged on the participants, a school spokeswoman said.
The suspect who allegedly used the pen was arrested and faces expulsion. Police are still looking for the suspect who used the scissors, said police spokesman Officer Anthony Avello. That student is also likely to face expulsion.

Is everyone going nuts? 2011 might just end up being the craziest year ever. Why on Earth are these brats just getting suspended? They should be EXPELLED!
I am certain these students were Tea party types who listen to Rush Limbaugh and that is what spurred them to violence.
Expelled? Why aren’t they being charged with crimes?

And even with expulsion, a hearing with school board officials and parents will usually let the kid back in at some point.

I’m white, and understand you can’t be racist towards white people. For example, there is nothing you can say to a white person that will make him feel bad about being white. Why is this? It is because white people enjoy every advantage there is to enjoy in this country and their skin color does nothing to hold them back. Also I’m sorry you feel it’s racist to point out that all of the land in our country was distributed at times in the past when blacks were not permitted to own land, let alone be seen as equals in society. Anyone who complains that white people in the United States are in any way oppressed or marginalized is a closet bigot themselves. And I know the first thing you are going to talk about is affirmative action and how that is racist. Well imagine a race that takes 400 years to complete. White people have had 350 years to run all by themselves while black people were held back at the starting line. I lived in CC for a long time and can remember when it was a nice little town. Too bad. It’s true that the good neighborhoods don’t expand, but the bad ones do.
