HotAir is reporting an aid saying that the death threats to Palin have increased dramatically:
"An aide close to Sarah Palin says death threats and security threats have increased to an unprecedented level since the shooting in Arizona, and the former Alaska governor’s team has been talking to security professionals.
Since the shooting in Tucson, Palin has taken much heat for her “crosshairs” map that targeted 20 congressional Democrats in the 2010 mid-term election, including that of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, who was the main target of Saturday’s attack."

Is the Left responsible for this spike in hatred? What is — God forbid — Sarah Palin is hurt? Do the pundits, personalities, etc., have any responsibility for this — using their own thinking displayed with connecting Palin to this tragedy? Here is a conversation from FB I had on this topic.

Look! Lets be fair here. The Democrats deserve that much.
You know damned well they’d throw a pep rally for her. Obama would bring out the t-shirts. Indians, possibly Hispanics would bless the event. Leading Democrats would decry the violence. Right wing talk show hosts and politicians would be taken to task for causing the violent act. Attendees at the local university would clap, scream, whistle, and boo at all the right places.
They’d even try to make things safer by urging folks to tone down the rhetoric. They’d try to take more of our guns away.
They might even name one of the bills after her.
And of course, the death threats to other Conservatives would go up by 200%, because Obama urged more understanding.
As of now, after the AZ incident, it’ll be shrugged off as...
“What goes around, comes around.”
The utterly irrational anti-Palin hatred I hear in my office tweaks me to no end. I had to ask a manager to stop the ‘Kill Palin’ “game” that had been going on and she reluctantly did so after asking me (incredulously) if I liked Palin.
The poll results for whether Bush had foreknowledge of the 9/11 attack is pretty amazing. Half of the reality based community thinks he was.

I fear for her safety and for the safety of her dear family. As much as I admire her, I’m not sure I want her to run in 2012 or not. Something dreadful happens to her and Lord knows what it could do to this Nation, and if it could ever be repaired.

Glen Beck had some politician from Pennsylvania on his show today that was furious because the person he was being interviewed by appeared to disagree with him. You should have heard the rage in that guys voice! It was pure, unadulterated hate. Maybe he'll have the clip on his show tonight. I hope so.

I wrote a book on the evolutionary psychology of Liberals. The theory was that the Liberal is an evolved psychology, designed to seek personal advantage at the expense of their group (As opposed to Conservatives, who are programmed to compete in group competition to better their species, and it’s evolutionary prospects, regardless of individual personal advantage).
Under this theory, our species exists as a large group of competitors, dedicated to our species advancement regardless of our own personal success, but infiltrated by a perniscious, selfish psychology which exhibits traits the group would revile, if they were exposed. I state in the book (written a year ago) that the Liberal fears nothing more than being exposed, as this, historically would have led to a purge, and Darwinian destruction. Thus, when acrimony and division grew, the Liberal will panic, for fear of being outed. That is what they are programmed to do. That is the root of the current calls to all “Come together.” If we up the acrimony and division, the Liberal will go to ground, as under Reagan. They are programmed to. They are a treasonous subversive walking the fine line of a traitor. They want us to think they are of our own, as they selfishly betray us.
Yes, they will use any future violence to call for coming together, so they may continue to hide amongst us. We must seek to continue to portray them as the enemy, and increase the partisanship and attacks on their character, and control they seek.
Sadly, they will seek to use attacks on Republicans to try and continue this come together crap, so don’t be surprised if we see some real violence directed at us in the future.
